  1. OK Mate but if this later press 85897 is ment to be on styrene then that rules yours out as a reissue i would have thought.like i say there are different sizes of credits on the Eddie Holman vinyls that are all original
  2. Ray is yours vinyl or styrene. It looks vinyl in your pic.Does it have the delta matrix. There are original vinyl copies of Eddie Holman--I surrender with the smaller writing credits.
  3. J.Ts version for me.This is my UK first issue copy. Was always a cheepie but see a lot more of the later reissues than the first.
  4. Hi Martin There are two different cuts of the Jean wells track on Calla 143 and Calla 152.Its a matter of opinion which one you prefere. There is also the unreleased studio cut that Butch plays on acetate which may have been the version you heard Patto
  5. Just been re aquainted with this fabulous Sandra Philips track after landing an original West coast Gold issue.Fantastic Northern Soul and in my opinion better than World Without Sunshine
  6. Hi Guys Ive had this 1966 Australian Astor original for a while now.Apart from looking stunning i have never seen another for sale anywhere. So is it as hard to find as it seems or commoner than i think. Its prob the latter but i love the label design
  7. I have a Vault Demo played it out a few times sounds great but i have been told the Vault is a louder mix level
  8. Both Omen and Vault came out same year 1966
  9. There does seem to be a lot of records around at the moment.I dont think its anything to do with stock loads being discovered in the states.Maybe more of a sign of people selling up their collections to dealers or unfortunately collections from guys who are no longer with us.I think its a trend that will continue over the next few years as people get into retirement age.
  10. These two never fail to well me up
  11. Your right Martyn . Mine is a Demo and i have personally never seen an issue. Patto
  12. Next up a Stafford era stormer which has become quite in demand recent years.
  13. Guys Not posted for an age so heres one thats got under my skin of late.Recently played out my copy of The Chaumonts---I need your love. But tucked on the flip is this track which after a few spins wormholes its way into your brain
  14. Towanda Barnes one of my all time Fave Slabs of pure Northern Soul had my copy for ages.Always banged onto people about how good the flip was.Maybe folk have cottened on and the value of the disc is onthe up.
  15. Nice playlist mate. That Del Counts is a bit special
  16. Ive got one of those Gene Chandler Mr Big Shot on the Stars design west coast issue.£327 never thought it would fetch that much is it a lot rarer than the Standard East Coaster.
  17. THANKS Tim not just a one off then a small batch must have been put out with no credits
  18. Tim was yours a blank label on the Once side as well
  19. Hi Guys Recently purchased an original copy of Larry Hale.My copy is on Diamond and is a nice deep blue/ Green label on Vinyl moulded label.Im aware of a lookalike counterfeit. MY COPY The matrix details are D 203 A (Note: no dash between the 203 and the A) scratched in the deadwax. The fakes are a lighter blue/green colour and even though they have the drill hole, the deadwax details are D 203 - A (Note the - [dash] between the 203 and the A). SO it looks like mine is a goodun and im happy with it but its unusual because the Once side has no artist or title credits just a blank Diamond label. The Polly Wolly A side is as normal.(See pics below). HAS Anyone out there had a similar copy or is this one a freak where they have mistakenly put a blank label on during the pressing process.
  20. Hi Guys looking for a nice condition Coral original copy of the above Pms please Patto
  21. Never got round to spinning this yet but its a stormer i have always loved since youth club days. This has had a recent first outing as a 45 but the way to play the original has to be from the Grapevine LP or the LP below
  22. Last one today an all time fave and perfect Northern Soul Bomb. This is The Wooden Nickels.Mine is a Vault Demo as in the clip
  23. Heres one from me that was a massive tune hammered everywhere on the scene during the 90s.This is Doni Burdick with Candle.Previously unissued and first put out on this legit Soul King pink label around 1991.Not easy to track down a copy these days,It shares the same backing track as The Dynamics oldie.
  24. I would be amazed if anyone who has been around the scene for 20 plus years is not familiar with Prove It.A classic oldie i have heard regularly over the years at many oldies nights all regions. Granted( Looking For You ) is better known. Most will also know of the best of the bunch from Garnet Mimms with the awesome (As Long As I Have You) the LP or french 45 version
  25. If PROVE IT TO ME is under the radar then most of my box is full of obscure unknowns. Its Surely one of the most well known Northern oldies of all time. Agree about the sales crap spouted by some but you have just got to look through it as its been going on for ever.
