Looking for anything ns related (not records): authors to book-sign, any pics for sale, accessories, bric-a -brac, badges etc - all free to display & sell, but you must book space with me.

inspired by our great "Crates of Soul" occasional events, this monthly mini-dayer is a meet-up, listen & have a drink kind of thing with rarish 60s & 70s soul of all tempos. Please note there is no dance floor. Cask ales & food available, large car park & beer garden (should it ever stop raining, we'll put the choons on outside too) Deano (usually) and Bob (sometimes) may be joined by friends who can actually get away with playing b-sides at this gig.

Rarely played soul for collectors, by collectors. If the weather's fine, we'll be out in the garden, if not, in the Cellar Bar. Either way, you'll hear some great tunes, probably some you ain't heard before! Food, including our famous Sunday Roasts, available all day with cask ales and 4 lagers, 2 ciders and Guinness on the bar.

Proper soul music (mostly vinyl) & proper beer (large choice of keg and cask beers). Good sized dance floor & Guest Dj (sorry Alan) Record bar. Talc-free venue. Zero PTD (played to death) choons. FREE ADMISSION!

A tour of Wigan Brewhouse (next to Last Orders pub) with Classic Northern Soul (on cd) Drink as much beer as you like - you'll be encouraged to have a go at pouring your own! Head Brewer Jonny will give the tour & answer your questions. £20pp includes beer, tour & £5 donation to Wigan Hospice in memory of Stephen Garner. Northern Soul Dog walk at Crooke Hall Inn, nr Wigan. Meet at Cellar Bar from 1pm for some classic northern choons & real ales (dogs welcome inside & out), then off for a short (30/40 min) walk up the Shevington footpath and back for more soul, drinks & a social. please wrap up-this will go ahead whatever the weather.
