  1. Anybody remember Mike Theodore Life Orchestra "Nightime Shadows". I may be wrong but I don't think it was ever officially uncovered because the record faded into the distance never to be played again. Steve
  2. I seem to remember buying it off JA at the Bowl for £6 somewhere around '77. God knows where it went though. I must have had a clear out at some point and sold it way before it became a big money tune. Steve
  3. Sorry, my mistake. It's a demo that I have. Looking at the usual sites the Demo seems to go for a bit more. I'll PM the price if you're interested. Steve
  4. I have one but I think its an issue. I'll have to check but let me know if interested. Steve

A tune that everyone and his dog is familiar with. Out and out Northern Soul at it's very best. With HB Barnum behind the production, what more could you ask. So, here's the deal.... Judy Street - What - Strider original USA release. Autographed both sides. One side says Love Judy "Street" Corner (Judy Corner being her real name). The other side says Love Judy 16th August '68. This was the actual 45 she gave to her mother upon its release. Although the label is clean (apart from the writing of course) the record has been, shall we say, slightly abused. It actually plays fine over a system and sounds great but it's not fit for HI-Fi purposes as there are obvious pops and crackles. It doesn't come up for grabs much now so I'm going to try my luck and ask £200 including post, Special Delivery to a UK address. Overseas please enquire. Money back guarantee as always. Payment by bank transfer, cheque, PO or cash. Cheers for stopping by. Steve
  6. Actually Hestor / Wylie doesn't get any better really for out and out Northern stompers. Their input to the scene was outstanding with so many classics gracing the decks of venues from what is, I guess, time immemorial as far as the Northern scene goes. Steve
  7. Ian..... you traitor. And here was me thinking you were all Philly'd up
  8. I quite agree in principal Ian although for the best part of 10 years prior to this being unearthed there was not much "released material" that grabbed the boll*cks so tightly... and it's been a good 9-10 years since it's first play. On that basis is this the most important / best / newest 60's discovery to come out of a 20 year period. If so, boy has that well gone dry Steve Handbury
  9. Dey chill... dey gat plenty time on dey're hands and da one ting dat meks em excited is da music. Na wher's me smoke
  10. I have a copy but dont know if its a demo or issue. From memory its red / whit / blue colouring on the label but I need to dig it out unless anyone can tell from that description Best Steve

Bloody Hell..... thought the title was "a few bombers for sale". Would have been a risky advert had it been so
  14. Patto, Always read and in the majority love your input. Always a worthwhile inclusion in the forum. Steve
  15. Yeah, Queens Hall.... what a place. I didn't do drugs, never have, never will but I understand that many people did and many are friends. Just my take on on it.Respect. Steve
  16. If thats what rocks your boat then so be it... cool.
  17. It may have been done before but I'm having a reflections moment: I have two... 1. The day I met my wife after a little bit of Internet banter. It was the Ritz and as promised, she came up to accept the beer I offered. 2. My mum coming to the Skeggy ender on a Sunday afternoon to pick us up, seeing that the scene is not all "drugs n rock n roll. The kids came along and enjoyed the afternoon, along with mother, although she still does nt get it Guess theres many more but too many to list Just a thought Steve
  18. Had any interest at that price Ian. If so I'll sell mine Steve H
  19. Maybe this one was stacked on top
  20. I've had a good offer on this and am closing the sale now. Sorry if you were waiting to jump in at the last minute. Best Steve
  21. Let's just get one thing straight here. If you refer back to this thread you will see that I posted "What's it going for nowadays". You didn't respond, in fact nobody responded until I decided to put it up for offers. YOU could quite easily have contacted me or simply replied to the thread with you're idea of price which may or may not have influenced my decision on how I decide to sell it. This is the end of the arguement as far as I'm concerned. I've had some serious offers on it and will make my decision Saturday as per the sales thread. Steve
  22. ...... and you replied that you were dealing with someone else. Steve
  23. Of course it's up there and I even sent you a PM to say it was there... and the reason why it's offered as bids. I could have just sent it to Mr Manship. Of course I want to get the best price for a record that's in demand however, if you don't offer, you won't be in with a chance. So I suggest you quit your jibber jabber. Steve
  24. I've seen requests on here for this 45. Please dont put me down for this. Its not profiteering etc. I don't know what to ask so I'm putting it on highest bid. This is the demo MGM of the Invitations You're like a mystery / Watch out little girl in what I cosider mint condition. If anything, there are a couple of very light marks of removal from sleeve (company sleeve by the way). I don't think I've played it from date of purchase. I'll run this until Saturday evening approx 9pm. Best offer secures For more info feel free to PM me Postage £2 first class / £5 secure next day to UK address. Thanks for your time Steve
