  1. At work with no sound on the PC but I have to say......... that's dreadful
  2. I have to say the BBC have done the music scene proud (and probably given many people an insight into the evolution of the LBGTQ scene and racial struggles too) with a superb selection of documentaries and historic concerts. Well done Auntie Beeb
  3. It's a shame that Paypal doesn't do historic claims going back a year and a half
  4. Chalky.... is a beast dancer someone who kicks the sh*t out of anyone who gets in the way
  5. Yes they certainly are and I've still not received my two copies even though they said they would look into it. Extremely disappointed to say the least and with it being well over a year ago I have chance of a Paypal refund either. I'll keep my thoughts to myself as having just laid my wife to rest on Monday it would be foolish to launch a tirade of abuse on them even though I know I wouldn't regret a word of my feelings Steve
  6. I believe it's a legal requirement . Not seen her in years.
  7. I really want to watch that but am struggling to watch any TV at the moment. Hope they keep it on the player for a few weeks
  8. OK no problem. Had your last one so if you get another please give me a shout Steve
  9. I'll grab that if still available please Steve
  10. I ordered two copies but have still not seen them. My confirmation of shipping was e-mailed to me almost one year to the day of ordering and yet.... still nothing. I'd appreciate someone looking into this and resolving the issue please Steve
  11. Regarding the Nurons fiasco... I did get a reply saying they would look into it and to rest assured that the copies would be despatched. No further replies and certainly no 45's from them. I'd be wary about their exploits
  12. If you haven't grabbed a copy yet there's a two page feature on Shrine Records in the latest issue. Scans of all the issued 45's are included with a little background info on each along with what Record Collector consider to be current market valuations. For once, they are not far off the mark in my opinion. Credits as always go to Ady Croasdell and Andy Rix. There's nothing new that we don't already know but it's just a nice piece in a magazine that does it's best to cater for the record hounds amongst us. Steve
  13. As per my e-mail, as much as I'd love to subscribe to the publication I would prefer my copies of the Nurons 45's ordered a year and a half ago first. Thanks Steve
  14. One on Discogs for £75 which isn't too bad as it's previously been about £100 Steve
  15. Now what have I told you..... Wigan didn't open until 1873. I'm sure that hole was put there so that people could hide their "sweeties" in it. I mean, no DS would go near the dance floor, not in their big cream Gannex macs
  16. Simon..... what is with you and 1872 at the moment?
  17. Simon.... from you of all people, I would have expected more. Everyone knows the Casino opened in 1873 not 1872. Forsooth, do you not have the pin badge that would hold up your pantaloons whilst flipping and spinning like a "jenny" in the mills of yesteryear?
  18. Thanks Mike.... three emails sent as replies to his shipping confirmation, two sent via website etc etc. what a scoundrel Steve
  19. Mike.... anyone!!!!!. I have messaged @brewerytownbeats on here and still got no reply. Do I just give up and accept I've been ripped off?
  20. Free of charge 20 x used but not abused Manila card poly lined sleeves (one has slight writing, others clean) Free of charge if anyone can use them Steve
  21. Seems I'm not the only one then. Thanks for the info. Have message Brewerytownbeats on here. Let's see what happens Steve
  22. Hi all, Following on from another post, does anyone have any suggestions on my next move: In April 2022 I ordered the two Nurons 45's for $61 advertised by Brewerytown Records out of the USA. Exactly one year to the day, on the 3rd April 2023 I received an e-mail saying the package had been dispatched. To be honest I'd forgotten about it. However, within the e-mail was a shipping reference. I am unable to access the site to check on shipping progress and, after three e-mails to Brewerytown Records (all unanswered by the way), I am still waiting for the goods. I can't even remember how I paid although the obvious method would have been Paypal. I'll check the Paypal payment records but as is sometimes the case it may not show as Brewerytown. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone suffered the same ordeal Thanks in advance Steve
  23. Hi Simon, Trust all is good. I did an audio recording of the Masqueraders, Chuck Jackson and the Adorables but, on this occasion I decided to take stills rather than video (unlike all the other Yarmouth / Cleethorpes / 100 Club etc events). Got some great shots though Best Steve
  24. Alright Trev.... trust you are OK. A tongue in cheek guess would be the original Frank Wilson..... I mean the acetates and boots were two a penny but were on the decks week in week out LOL Steve
  25. Logged onto my e-mails today to find a notification from Brewerytown Records that my order has been shipped. This was a $61 order placed EXACTLY ONE YEAR AGO. Now I know record pressing has suffered delays but this is taking the wee wee don't you think. To be honest, I'd forgotten all about the order so let's hope the snail that is delivering it can swim. Anyone else had this? Steve
