Impel is the original local release but is very hard and expensive.. on Seventy 7 there is a demo and also the yellow issue, and the re-issue multi coloured lable which i think came out in the 70s. about £100ish for the yellow and £40ish for the re-issue Steve

The only way to do it Phil is to contact the seller and get the seller to put a low value amount on the customs form thus avoiding import duty, sorry there is no legitimate way of getting round this.. £300 duty though thats a lot of money spent have you won the lottery? Steve

It was the dogs gonads Fantastic memories and I met a lot of people that are still on the scene today. It opened at the right time and probably closed at the right time, and was many peoples introduction to our brilliant music and I think made our scene stronger, just a thought how many people would not have got into Soul if it had not been for Wigan? I for one could never knock it although it did have a down side with the "pop music" that was played but it didn't retract from the true soul sounds that were played and are still being played today.. "Chambers" Rochdale Town Hall as it says it was the chambers underneath the town hall. It ran from early to mid seventies playing soul and ska, it closed down for health and safety reasons only one entrance/exit, it was my introduction to soul music, fantastic venue but would only serve soft drinks. I am sure somebody on here can give more detail I only went about 3 occasions ( i was only 13 at the time and you had to be 16 to get in, i just hung on to my older sisters coat tails! ) . this area in the town hall from what i can gather is now just used for storage, but it was the most perfect umderground venue.
