  1. Fundraising for the $55 million campaign stands at $43 million, following a $5 million gift last month from Dan Gilbert’s Rocket Companies and Gilbert Family Foundation.

What is Berry Gordy's net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Berry Gordy has an estimated net worth of $400 million (£288m)

Guess he’s hanging onto it - just in case his elec and gas go up 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  2. The Geezer who did these is Ally Mayer - the original promoter of Odd Fellows - all nighters and reunions- his details are on SS - so open to all, he’s a really nice guy and if you’re short of a set I am sure he would help out - if he has any spare - 👍🏻

    ally.mayer@pyrint.com or text 07971 596679,

  3. I don’t doubt you can insure you’re records - what puzzles me is how the hell you claim and what documentation you need to back it up with ?

Pictures / receipts / verification off a so called expert - who’s to say you insure you’re Don Gardner for 20k only for the flowing week someone broke in and stole you’re play box  with it in - but it was not a real one - but the person knew that when they insured the collection - as did there mate who slipped in got the box and is now splitting the small collection down and selling it off 🤔

Pay out from the insurance people and double payout through selling the records ??

It reminds me of a mate who went to Spain yeas ago came back and claimed he lost a 3k Rolex - the insurance company asked for full documentation/ where he brought it / receipts the lot - saying you brought it off a bloke in a pub is not going to be enough - hang in but that’s what we use to do a venues just buy them off a bloke in a record bar 🤔🤔

    I can’t spell lol

Watch u tube / Amazon prime / more than Main Stream tv all cook shows / police crime crap that is laughable / or famous people (millionaires) advertising there new book or there new shows or the latest let’s all talk about LGBT but not upset anyone with any options  - and don’t start me off about charity bloody adverts at £2 a month £3 a month or £27:35 buys them a new tent - rant over  Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

  5. Steve I remember a bloke called James who sold records at Wigan regularly - he lost so many records he put string through the middle with enough slack you could lift them up to inspect - great idea until someone cut the string 🤔🤔😳😳

  6. This is nothing new back in 75 / 76 at Purley Tiffs woman’s bags got nicked they use to empty them in the toilet cubicle then stash the bag behind the S bends - not just one like up to 6 or 7 a night - they also use to nick ur beer you went for a dance - got back to the table you’re effing drink was gone 50p Whatney Red - so when you almost finished ur beer we use to put it under the table and piss in it - use to give it a good froth head 😂🤣-  we then use to leave them on the side ledges - sure enough they went after a while 😂🤣😂🤣 was a Derby Tiffs 76 my mate got all his badges cut off his bag just left the stitches/ that bag was on the stage in front of everyone 🤔🤔

  7. If you looked at the front on the stage the doors for alley was to your right - near the end of a nighter I used the doors - I still had my tape recording going and as I left the main hall and made my way down the concrete stairs my steel tips / blakeys can be heard on the concrete stairs and the music fading - till I got to the outta doors which lead to the side alley- 👍🏻

New stories for me to hear from the previous posters. Can anyone explain to me why I have it in my head that the entrance to M's was off the left side of the main room balcony.....almost no lighting on the walk to the door, then seemingly darker still when you got inside the place. I loved my regular spot on that balcony......looking directly at the stage and down on the dancefloor. And the balcony truly did bounce at regular times along with the dancing.

Off the main room balcony left hand side (as you looked at the stage) - through a door that took you into another reception area - then doors on the right hand side lead into the dance hall / floor beside the stage - at the end of the reception area in the left hand corner was the stairs / not very wide - even skinny it was hard to pass - that lead up to M's balcony - stage end - if you walked around the balcony - there was another staircase the far end that took you back down to dance floor level Mr M's - I think 🤔

Yes it did ,at least 5djs at least 3 soulies  and 15 mins in Mike Walker came in arms waving in the air shouting " turn it off turn it off ,I told you it wasn't going to work " and immediately the event was called to a halt ,, and the 3 off us where kicked out into the streets at the rear entrance into the September morning which was the main entrance to Mr Ms , I at the time was living ,working in Llandudno but had  planned to do both nighters as had a week end free

If memory serves me correctly Kenny Spence , Keith Minshull , Richard Searling ,possibly Dave Evison not sure of the others but Ms stage was full , people might think I'm mad but it did happen and maybe some one still alive can possibly verify it .I know one of the lads was local to Wigan but pretty sure the other lad like me had arrived by train .

From the side entrance that went into a reception area you went through doors that overlooked M’s dance floor - This hall from the outside was called Jenny’s or something like that - we got to the casino early one night in Jan winter cold / bouncers let us into the reception area - they were playing rock - out of curiosity I opened the doors only to see two long haired people playing air guitars - rock on

i know a lot is attributed to WC that never was...but has/did anyone hear the Bee Gee's Jive Talkin' played in 1975 at WC -as an acetate?

(probably unknown as The Bee Gee's)

Winstanley / Richard and Roberts are still alive - am sure with a bit of perseverance they could be contacted and asked - do you remember 🤔
