  1. Johnny Moore - Incredible record! Sounds amazing played out
  2. It's been played across the pond here in Ireland for many many years so it's actually an 'oldie' over here! Great record though and i still like to spin it.
  3. Strange but i actually heard this version before the original so i have a soft spot for it and actually quite like it.
  4. My copy is the same as that, no idea of value though! I "assume" it's the release before Bell so i reckon it's an original. Great track
  5. Soulwise, it's been quite a good year for me. Managed to get over to the U.K. a lot more and had the privilege of dj'ing at some great clubs including a residency at the wonderful Radcliffe allnighter (i must be doing something right!). Manchester has become my 2nd home and i've met and made friends with some great people. Leeds was another true highlight for me attending and dj'ing at both the "Empty Bottles" and "That Driving Beat" clubs and really opened my eyes (and ears) to how good this scene can actually be! On the record buying front, i have heard (and purchased) many "new to me" records and have ticked off quite a few 'wants' off that ever growing list. It's a year that i've felt quite proud (and lucky) to be part of something so special and here's hoping it continues in 2013.
  6. Strange but the very same thing happened to me with pretty much the same response from the post office. Actually kept mine for a while as well but threw it out recently.
  7. Ha ha, only one way to find out (and it ain't pretty!)
  8. Good few of them making their way over here to the Emerald Isle as well
  9. I was in touch with her mate, she got to other event as far as i know and they're heading to something else tonight so not a totally wasted journey.
  10. Alright Brian, it was great meeting you and having a chat at Radcliffe. The photographs are fantastic and i just love what you're doing with the lighting and shadows. Can't wait to see the finished project. All the best - Paul
  11. Absolutely love the "I Need Your Love So Bad" side of this record as well. It was a very pleasant surprise when i first played it. Cracking double sider!
  12. Fantastic record! Personally i would go for the Virtue copy as the pressing sounds a lot better (plus the label looks great).
  13. Think this is because the Fairmount copies are vinyl and the Hemisphere are styrene and the Fairmount pressing sounds a lot better hence being more desirable . I'm sure i read this somewhere or was told in a drunken conversation.
  14. Great price for a cracking tune, love it!!!!!!!!
  15. What a record! Can i slip in the queue behind Hermann for a copy?
  16. Personally i feel 60 minutes is just about right. Enough time to build a set and short enough to make an impact!
  17. Great version from a fantastic l.p. Didn't know it got a 7" release so thanks for sharing.
  18. Same here, i bought one of the Daptone ones and butchered an old record box to make it fit in so it has adequate protection. Ideal for traveling (especially with airlines that only allow one piece of luggage - thank you Ryanair!). Wouldn't trust this style of bag without some added protection though!
  19. Wow, would love to actually hear it WITHOUT the hiss!
  20. Mine's a bit predictable and boring but i'm kinda attached to it now. I kinda identify a lot of folk on here by their avatar anyway as opposed to the username.
  21. Absolutely love that Nina Simone track, one i've had for years. Has it ever actually "had it's day" and had big spins etc.? Either way, sublime record
