  1. Would like to hear that story Greg! Love this tune, always wondered who it was myself. One of those records that i always danced to at the 100 club. How good is the quality of your dub and are you interested in selling it?
  2. Ady, i don't get over to the U.K. as often as i would like so can't really comment on attendance at niters etc. but the 100 club was (and still is) a very special place for me. As an overseas punter i feel this club is 'still' worth traveling for and for personal reasons one of my main ambitions (as a d.j.) is to do a spot in front of that big '100' at this legendary venue so please don't stop just yet before i earn a chance to do this.
  3. Jesus, that sent shivers down my spine. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Sorted now, thank you very much.
  5. Hi Ian, thanks for response and offer of a copy. I can download the whole album no probs. but i'm a bit of an anorack when it comes to sound quality, artwork, sleeve notes etc. so it was a request for those purposes really but if it's fetching £60, i think i can live without it. Right, i'm off to download it.
  6. Hello all, looking for a copy of the David Ruffin Unreleased Album c.d. "David". If anyone can help me out with this, please pm with price and condition. Thanks for reading.
  7. I used to store mine in a similar fashion (basically all over the place). Explored "LOTS" of options (ready made shelving, boxes etc.) but found the best solution was to just get a carpenter in and fit shelving to my own specifications and design and to the shape / size of the room where they reside. It may sound expensive but it wasn't much different pricewise to buying boxes etc. to fit them all in, plus the fact it looks great! Anyway, just thought i'd suggest this to you as i spent ages trying to decide what to do. Best of luck with it.
  8. Sorted now, thank you!
  9. Hello all, looking for a copy of Rudy Love & Company Soul "Suffering Wrath" so if any of you good folk out there are willing to part with your copy, please pm with price and condition. Thanks for reading.
  10. Oops, i meant to say that it's crap and somebody should send you a copy for free. You should pick it up for £30 regardless of any hype, that's what i paid for mine anyway. Best of luck.
  11. Superb flip on this as well "Lonely Lover" so definitely worth picking up.
  12. It sure is, and now it's even cheaper, grab yourselves a bargain (or 2 or 3 or 4).
  13. Little Charles & The Sidewinders "It's A Heartache" - What a crackin' tune and a real bargain IMHO.
  14. Awesome tune, can't get enough of this at the moment.
  15. Brilliant track that still gets an airing from me now and again. I think the confusion with 'Pic & Bill' stems from the fact that both Robert Thomas and Pic & Bill did versions of "Soul Of A Man" which is the flip side of "Salvation". Pic & Bill's version of "Soul Of A Man" is on the flipside of "Talk About Love" and is far superior IMHO.

  18. Hello good folks of Soul Source, i'm looking for an original copy of The Staple Singers l.p. "This Time Around". Please p.m. with price and condition if you have one to sell. Thanks for looking.
  19. Al Wilson "Touch And Go" - the best fiver you'll ever spend! The intro alone is worth the money, BUY IT!!
  20. Why isn't this record massive?? Do yourself a favour and treat your ears and your playbox to this beauty.
  21. Superb tune that i never tire of, absolutely love the production on it. I've been hammering this for a while now and i'm sure i'm the first to play it over here in Ireland. Does that count
  22. So if you're outside the U.K. and you're not happy, tough shit??
  23. It isn't those tossers that annoy me, it's the sellers that don't update their pages (or do they?) Tired of trawling through there, finding a nice record at a decent price and then to be told that it's "out of stock". Hmm, i wonder
  24. Ah yes, that made me laugh!
  25. For me it has to be ADY CROASDELL for introducing me to so many good tunes on those beloved Kent compilations. Those lp's shaped my taste in Soul music and many of the tracks were ones that i later tracked down and purchased on original 45's. A lot of the records i heard over the years at Sleepless Nights in Dublin further added to my tastes and education but lately i would like to single out STEVE CATO and KARL HEARD for being responsible for introducing me to so much great music and for really opening my ears.
