  1. most chemists don't stock isopropyl alcohol these days , I tried every chemist in town and none could even order it for me . mind you ,you can order it online fairly cheep and delivery isn't going to take forever
  2. I sent a lump of steal to a customer yesterday (got to be heavier than a record ) and that was only £3:20 first class , some people just chance their arm
  3. if you'd heard the interview with her earlier (17:30 radio 2 ) you would be worried , it summed up all the fears aired on here and more . it was cringe worthy at best and filled me full of dread
  4. I like the groove of that fun-k-city the wife sadly was sitting there just shaking her head
  5. a british copy released at the same time , or near as damn it is probably ok one made 15--20--30 years later is not , its not rocket science
  6. should be glad I didn't get my hands on it , I would have used it for target practice .. awful racket
  7. he may have been the consultant that doesn't mean any notice was taken of him ( yes I have heard of him btw ) surely a more representative set of record would have been better , some used can't have even been discovered at the time the film was set
  8. can't believe they didn't play with it a little I fells like it should be at least 1/2 an hour longer and the drugs seem over done compared to the rest of the plot
  9. the trouble is , not what you see as the final cut but how much of what you want to see ending up on the cutting room floor . any film will only get distribution if the distributor , in Eleaine's case Universal . want what you have to offer , you can bet a pound to a pinch of salt that they dictated the musical content if not plot direction . why so much motown in a northern soul film ... musical rights
  10. may be worth you getting a copy of record collector rare price guide ( record collector mag book) it gives details in there of how to spot the later reissues , ie. font changes in the title text .. as Mr Huxley said hope you've a health bank balance cos some of the 500's aint cheap
  11. can't say about 'come to me' but the others credit them as 'united artists' recordings and going by the you-tube post above It also credits UA not motown
  12. £81 each bar the odd few pence , don't look like much of a bargain to me.
  13. wonder what the most common Motown Oriole demo is , the only one I have is also the Marvin Gaye Pride and Joy
  14. yea but some of us like UK release and most of the time the vinyl is better anyway , and the UK never used that nasty styrene crap
  15. I think Mick said he has had 3 Ben E Kings and there is one other making 4 , though that is just from memory and mine is a bit foggy most of the time
