Interesting but was bound to happen at some stage Ady. I agree with Ken and Bicknall and some others on here. The average age of the scene is now getting on and those people don't attend that much as in the past plus those who do are to set in there ways to change. Even my age group of 40 can't do it regular as Kids/jobs etc. It was different when we were all younger and carefree. I still go the odd time and for me the 100club will always hold a very important part of my life and the people i met there. The thing is its not the same anymore for many people, those days are gone and never to be repeated. The best thing to do is continue until you feel your flogging a dead horse. The numbers aren't there anymore for regular events up and down the country. Maybe it's just a blip but to be honest i think the scene is slowly slowing down. You do a great job and have for many years and i do hope numbers improve coming up to the summer etc. Bloody hell just when i've come back to the odd dj set as well All the breast Greg

Diane Lewis - You Aint Got A Chance (Cover Up)
Liam2005 replied to Mal C's topic in Look At Your Box
If my memory serves me right it's an unissued acetate that might of came via tim brown or soul bowl. I could be wrong but i do remember Keb darge telling me the full story in a pub in camden back in the early 9ts. I got a perfect dub which i like to play in the comfort of my living room now and then for memories sake....tune!!!! Greg -
All copies Hiss.. though the one i sold from my collection that was found in a record shop in soho for £50 had very little It was stone mint and only a little bit of hiss, carl fortnum had 2 copies but they hissed and mick smith was the same. It's rare as f*ck and expect to pay £1,500+ for a half decent one. I got mine from capitol Soul DJ (Alan H) after he found it in a basement of a soho record shop. Carl and I then played it out big style everywhere and it took off....tune! Greg

Hi I still own the original test pressings of the LP which correctly came fron Benji in germany..whatcha mate!. I cut two 10 plates for Mike at soul source & also robbo in manchester. I have all the paper work and carbon copies of who played what and costs (studio/artists etc). I don't mind who plays it off what format, i used to be a senior soul police man but these days i couldn't careless along with my other CSC brothers. Maybe one day judy freeman will be pounding out of the speakers in the dome again......who knows you'll all have to wait and see . All the breast Gregs -

There Are Not Many Black People On The Scene?
Liam2005 replied to ImberBoy's topic in All About the SOUL
I know Spider and yes he was an unpredictable lad. The last time i saw Spider was at Chelsea a few months back. He is still unpredictable but a football pal from years ago and is now one of the faces at Chelsea, well if you can be a face these days or is it a bully Greg -
There Are Not Many Black People On The Scene?
Liam2005 replied to ImberBoy's topic in All About the SOUL
My girlfriend is mixed race and she hates Northern soul, but get this loves motown and funk lol. Strange i know . The one thing i would say from experience is there is racism in all walks of life and it can be found on the northern Scene and nearly every other scene. I have witnessed many a remark in the toilets of the 100club and various other do's even at our own the capitol soul club. The worse one i came across was a skinhead at the 100club who i offered out for his uneducated remarks re one of the bouncers winston. These things happen unfortunatley but we must stamp it out straight away....run at it not away from it. Greg -
