I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere on the forum this week but FW signed single is on ebay today for a cool £150, 000 squids! Given the recent flux of wallys selling run of the mill records for big money maybe some mug will actually buy it? EBAY

Recently I went out looking for one myself but they seem to be thin on the ground nowadays, closest thing I could find was from Westend DJ in Hanway St London, £45 to start, a bit steep for me on the day. google em.

Darrell Banks - Open The Door To Your Heart 2014 London
Airfixkid replied to a topic in Look At Your Box
Ive been corrected on another forum, the total fee to the seller was 28.8% ergo 28.8% fee of £15000 = £4320 The buyer would have payed £15,000 + 33.6% Fees (as he was bidding on The-Saleroom website, total paid = £20,040. -

Airfixkid replied to a topic in Look At Your Box
This should serve as a warning to anybody thinking of selling through a trad auction house, the final sale was minus 28.8% of 15000 = £4320 = a takehome of £10,680 ! A loss of £4000 off the original price he bought it for -
Take note: the case was about the bootlegging only, expect these lads to be reappearing again sometime soon for cheating the HRMC, probably be getting extra time for that? Presumably KENT should get on the case if these lads were bootlegging Kent records?
-
By coincidence an old mate of mine who sold records had a large supply of those "not for sale" stickers and used to stick em to any old records. For uk pressings they should be on mid 1060s Fontana/ philips only I think anything else = FAKE.
-
I turned up a Jamo Thomas demo at a boot sale, cant be as anywhere as rare as a Tony Middleton stock copy...?
-
in the UK both Mod & Rockin scenes have completely crossed over with mostly RnB type tunes. I first heard that Black Coffee tune way back in late 80's at a rocking do..

Tony Orlando - She Doesn't Know It - Valuation
Airfixkid replied to Dufus's topic in Look At Your Box
£10 ? -
This record is another band with same name, they are ALT-Rock and from Canada. The band photo is from the Cotillon album which is pysch rock ? I am not 100% convinced thats the same group as on compared to what either.
-

Cheers Pete, I guessed it might be a forerunner of todays Carver type discs for DJ's, thanks for the confirmation & dating though. Tosspot, I mention Emidiscs in the description on the bay. Under a magnifying glass you can see the 'magic' labels are pasted on. As mentioned somewhere else, Emidiscs were just a brand of Acetate that EMI sold wholesale to recording studios etc. Decca, Pye produced their own amongst others, I used to collect them but now shifting the last few as they dont get played [obviously].
