    We used to travel from Norwich to Bury Town Hall. There was usually a half decent crowd in with lots travelling from the south and Midlands. It was noted on more than one occasion how many locals weren't in attendance. Mark C

    The Non Such DJs hold nights in a pub in Ipswich, not sure of the name. Think there's a night at the Sugar beet club in Bury S.E. but think it's all cds. Get up to Norwich on Sat November 25th for Billy Maguires all dayer at the Oaklands Hotel on Yarmouth Road. Brilliant dj line up inc Soul Sam, Ted Massey and John Parker. Us norwich boys will make you welcome lol Mark Chamberlin

    I can remember Mik Parry did a spot at the 100 Club and played it. Must be a good 12 years. First heard Hamilton Movement at Kempton Rovers soul night - probably even earlier. Mark C

    I was at the recent Valencia allnighter but was poorly so only made it til 2am. Prior to that was Rugby in April and we'll be up at Swinton on Saturday. Still love the niters! Mark C

    I always thought the problem with outsiders came from the Stanground lot. Think they started chucking beer barrels one night, quite violent scenes. Shame coz the Fleet had been a half decent venue. Mark C

    On a slightly different note, why do I love records like William Powell and Margare Little? Because they ain't perfect vocals and might sound a bit dodgy. But it's that quirkiness and mystique that to me makes them the ideal "niter" records Mark C

    Clueless! Why are people so desperate to put on an event (and dj) when they don't have proper records and have no consideration for established venues? Ego and money I guess. I am holding an event later in the year and was given various dates to choose from. I took a date that doesn't clash with the 100 Club because I know several of my crowd would be disappointed otherwise. I've been told that I overthink things(!) but just want to put on a quality event and it only takes a bit of preplanning and away you go... Mark C

    From a current perspective I suggest Charlotte Hindley. Helps promote the Wigan events with Jordan and is a regular on the nighter scene. Great dancer too! Mark C

    They played Stoned Love at Hamburg soul weekender at the allnighter in October!
