  1. Why is this record so expensive? It's the last one i need for the set. I've seen almost unplayable copies sold on EBAY for silly money. I read somewhere that there are fewer copies of some of the later Revilot releases than this one. I would love to know the story behind it. Thanks Rob
  2. Is Soul Clock a label worth collecting. Apart from the greatest NS record of all time - 'Times a wastin' and the alternative take by the Whispers, are there any other good uns. Thanks Rob
  3. Does anybody have a list of all Albums released on Action. I have the following: 'oh how it hurts' -Barbara Mason - Action 6002 'Dry your eyes' - Brenda and the Tabulations - Action 6003 Is there a guide to Album, 12 inch and Reggae records as these don't feature in the Manship guides. Thanks Rob
  4. Sorry in advance if this is an old topic. I have a vinyl copy of 'i can't get away' by Bobby Garrett. Was this ever released on vinyl or is it a fake. The book isn't clear. Got this in a soul pack along with Jackie Lee 'oh my darlin'. Thanks Rob
  5. Connie Laverne 'can't live without you' - sold for £918 this week. I got this record in a soul pack in the seventies, there must be thousands of this record around - and IMO it's quite ordinary. Whilst it cheers me up to know i have records of this value - it just isn't worth it. Rob
  6. Thanks for the info, that explains everthing. I'm playing a lot of these records for the first time in almost 30 years. My favourite so far is The Indigos - I love you, a good Donny Hathaway song. Rob
  7. Does anybody know anything about this group ( The New Direction). They recorded 2 records for Neptune . I can't find an entry in the Manship guide - are they any good or rare. Also the discography i have shows a query against Neptune no 34, can anyone confirm if this was a release. many thanks Rob
  8. I haven't seen the yellow/black with the different type face.Is it rare? Slight change of subject. The only Ric-tic stock copy i don't have is no 116. Is this available as a stock copy? if so, i would like to buy - any ideas. Thanks again for all the info. Rob Hallam
  9. Thanks for the info. It looks like i need the yellow/black with the different type face and the yellow/black with the 'oo soul ' title for a complete set of stock copies. Rob Hallam
  10. I'm just getting back into the scene after 30 years, and i've decided to catalog my motley record collection. I have all the Manship guides, but have many questions re my records. Apologies in advance if i touch on recent topics. First question for now: How many different Ric-tic labels were there for Agent double o soul by Edwin Starr. I have usual red with black lettering, yellow and black, and yellow and red. All have the title 'agent double o soul'. I recently saw a scan with title 'agent oo soul'. Does this exist in all colourways and demos? I really don't fancy having the same record about 8 times for the sake of completeness. Thanks for your help Rob Hallam
  11. Does anybody know about Bingo by the Dynamics - Wingate no 18. i know this group later became the Dramatics, but i have this record by both the Dynamics and the Dramatics. Is one of them rare? Thanks Rob
