Yes, it does give that message if taken literally. Think I will have to rephrase flyers and website on reflection as not want to deter the likes of you Chalky and co.
Totally agree re far too many mediocre venues and playing original vinyl.Depends on what you mean by across the Board. My take on it is not to try to combine a Modern room with a Northern one. Up front 60's, some quality oldies, R&B and Motown played on OVO is what I try to offer.Too many mediocre playing oldies on Re-issues and bootlegs around here.
House insurance covers mine ok at home but once I go outside, especially when used for commercial purposes as they call it, eg as a promoter/Dj then they not want to know. Had big problems in even getting household cover as once I declared my collection to my previous insurer they cancelled my cover with 7 days notice. All sorts of problems with insurance cover when out and about especially.
When they say "I went to Wigan" I say "But what did you do when you were there". If you know what I mean
I not go to Wigan. Well only to watch the rugby
The Merging Traffic - Ain't no need/something special. MY Records. VG ++. Label has small piece of sellotape on it.
Book price £500 but will accept £300 or sensible offer. There are a few pops on the start, hence the price.
Will probably not be the time to play Murial Day or f%$k up on cueing if ya see what I mean.......
I still think you've shitted out but you can print your playlist from Thursday cantcha....?

Reaching for the best is a double CD compiled by Ian Levine. Have got it somewhere but can't put my hands on it just yet to give you details. Will try and turn it up and Pm you. Try Goldsoul site.
Before I leave this thread want to say that I respect your points and a lot of what you say I agree with, especially re Dj's and collectors. The Bootleg bit I not totally agree with as how would he know what other Dj's were going to play unless there was some kind of discussion between the Dj's. Lets leave it there, shall we and at the end of the day its not that serious. Only 'Love is a serious business'
It matters to me because of the Etiquette. Same as when i play Golf or someone says thank you when i have done them a favour. It not mattered to me enough where it affected my sleep that night. Just giving some direct evidence to the Investigation team on this thread.
As for why they stayed in my box and not play them earlier, I do not quite get your point as it not makes sense.
Not in the business of publicly humilliating people. I will keep that between him and me.
You like your smileys
I think this is the best sum up of what the scene is all about. Yes, Etiquette. That word will do for me. #
Russ, good talking to you in the small room on saturday at Berkeley. They all looked originals to me!!
I was off duty but stilll had my warrant card with me
Hope I not put too many smileys in this post.
I think most of us know who they are that plays Boots. I think it devalues a venue especially as what happened to me at the weekend. I was Dj'ing earlier in the evening and someone came on at a prime spot playing Bootlegs, whilst I had most of the originals in my box that he was playing. Worst of all he was playing as though he was the top man. He fooled no one but do not think any of the promoters at that gig will be inviting him to one of their venues. Not this one anyway.
Yes, it is in demand for some reason. Heard in Burnley at last all nighter and thought, got to have that.
Been looking since and no luck but like waiting for a bus......what happens! Yes, got two offers.
