They are well out of order I Know this doesn't help you but I'll not use them Cheers Swifty

  9. Dont know if this is in the right section (please move if not) , Just need to know who BOB HOLDEN is or was , I'm pressuming he is/was a Radio DJ/Promoter in the states. The reason I ask is over the past few months various 45's I've bought have had his name either written or stamped on the labels and have usually been DJ/Promo copies . Does anyone know who he is/was ? Cheers Swifty P.S. if anyone does know him , will you tell him to stop writing all over the bloody labels !
  10. Crossover is all the records I had in the 70's/80's that I never used to play and ended up chucking them away , DOH! Swifty

  13. Kev , maybe a silly question but is the Martha Reeves the same record as the Marvin Gaye song? Cheers Swifty
  14. Thank you Gents , also just found some more info in Rogers 'Sharp End ' thread (Class Info as always!) which my copy is the same as i.e. the deadwax on the 'Without A Love' side is half the width of 'Before It's Too Late' side. So I think I can revert my ad back to an Original Thanks again Cheers Swifty
  15. Wonder if anyone can help me . I've got a little job lot of 6 Records on e-bay of some used & abused 45's which I've listed as USA originals , One of them is JACKIE DAY - BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE - MODERN 1028 (RED LABEL) as below (actual Record). Somebody has contacted me to say they think it's a boot , can anybody confirm it was booted on Red as in my JM book it says the re-issue was on a Green label with Instrumental on b side. Cheers Confused Swifty
  16. Cheers Nev , I paid £30 for it , the reason I asked was that a well known dealer is asking £80 for it as apparently is back in demand ? Still a great tune and happy with my £30 Cheers Swifty
  17. Afternoon all , just wondered what the going rate is for THE VOLUMES - MY KIND OF GIRL - INFERNO W/D - Ex Con. and does it get played out anymore ? Cracking Tune Cheers Swifty

  19. Yes Brian , nothing gets by SS's does it ,that's the kiddy! in fairness mate it's not in the best nick but at that price it was worth a punt! I suppose not many about with 'Doris' written on them ! Cheers Swifty
  20. Any idea on prices on De-to ? Swifty
  21. Thanks Dave , interesting stuff , so the No strings version is rarer then? Is there much difference in value between No Strings & Strings ? Cheers Swifty p.s. now this may be a shot in the dark but the copy I got has the name 'Doris' written on the label both sides and found out that Dee's proper name was 'Doris' - Spooky
  22. Ste. , been doing a bit of digging and I think it was released again (different Version I believe ) on Morning Glory in the 80's (might be wrong decade not sure ) Cheers Swifty
  23. Morning all , just wondered what the going rate for this is at the moment , I believe there are 2 versions one with Strings & one without , are they both the same value? I just got a copy (only VG) which has TT 611426A in the deadwax which I believe is the no strings version. Haven't had chance to listen to yet as turntables knackered! any info appreciated Cheers Swifty
