  1. I know what you're saying Chalky but they will be new to a lot of people that weren't there at the time . Plus at the end of the day they're gonna run out of 60's dancers unless they enjoy the one's we did Swifty
  2. People have got to remember, not everybody collects records or knows what is or isn't rare , I've got good freinds who love stuff I now (but didn't used to) hate to hear. I've been fortunate to be there in the early days but that makes me no better than someone who has just come in to the scene and just likes the top 500 ? 'Cause at the time we did Swifty
  3. If we wan't the scene to carry on we need exposure , I know it was an underground but hey why can't others now enjoy it . We can then stand there and talk to them and say " they did'nt do that or this in our day" Cheers Grumpy Old man
  4. Was thinking that myself , great price
  5. This is in my bookmarks , my Mrs. knows that everytime I watch this that I will have tears running down my face and I just watched it again and yup! tears are abound. This is so sad yet makes me feel honoured to enjoy this music we all love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1May52b1RQ Swifty

  7. Mate of mine keeps nagging me to get him DANA VALERY - YDNWYIL he's not a collector but loves the music and this is one of his faves. Can someone sort me out with one CHEAP as he's a Yorkie and I will never see my outlay again. Plus it will stop him saying that I never even tried to get one! Let us know please and be gentle Cheers Swifty P.s. not claiming all Yorkies are tight but he is

  9. Thanks Ricky , was thinking of putting mine up at £70 ish Cheers Swifty
  10. Peter , had a chat with Dean for about 15 minutes , top man , really humble . I thought he said he was 71 ? We discussed his involvement with the band 'Steeplechase' on Polydor , Religion & War !!! not bad in 15 minutes . Sidney Barnes top bloke to , really friendly , I was well made up having a chinwag with these legends and how they keep going at their age is a testament to them. Think Dean said Sidney was 80 and still enjoying the perks of being a pop star , if you know what i mean . & Yes I was there all weekend and had a bloody good time , forget the politics . Swifty
  11. Sorry , I know people get fed up with us numpties asking for prices but.... Got a copy of this I want to sell , it looks VG but plays VG+ (no crackles until the runout) and the label is a lttle bit grubby but not bad. I bought it as Ex but hey ho ! Any idea what I should be asking for it on SS. Cheers Swifty
  12. I'll keep you informed
  13. Denise (my Mrs.) watched it with me and said something that rang true to me , when we started seeing each other she didn't really know much about my passion (Soul that is!) and when she was younger was a skinhead so knew all the Motown & youth club stuff but when we got together she enjoyed my "Northern" sounds which is always a promising sign . Over time she now says can you put this on or that on and hasn't got a clue who it is or what label but she loves it? Watching that last night had me smiling, cringing and wishing I got my arse out more. One of her workmates after watching the programme asked her to show how to do Northern Soul dancing and Denise said " It's not until you get on the floor and your feet start moving with your/the emotion of the record playing at the time and you either get it or you don't. Fair play I Say , I think we're a bit over protective sometimes but hey! Swifty
