Could anyone give me some stuff that has gone big on the continent - I see a lot of stuff around that I wasn't aware of, that seems to get plays in Europe as opposed to here. I don't even know if I'm right> Haha - any info gratefully received.

I think I felt it was a more 'special' thing to me pre internet, you had to work a lot harder to obtain stuff etc but there are many obvious post internet bonuses nowadays. If you could choose pre or post internet, which would it be?

I think I may have been out of order in a way with this thread as I more than most respect the fact that tracks are individual matters to the individual that desires them. Scene's move on, people dance on different dancefloors these days and I ain't there it appears - so no disrespect meant. (Lot of money about though ay?)

Rich has just called me - knocked me socks off - another part of this scene passes by - our thoughts to his family and friends - a much loved indidual who turned the beautiful cogs of soul for the better...all my respect and love. B x

I agree with what you're saying Davie but I think Brooky's hypothetical question is loaded in a way that says 'why not take that possible failure to please out of the equation'.

The same lads also used to play records by Fontella Base - there were loads of 'em, they got everything A A F.
