Ay Oop Dave. Lydon (Rotten) was derided for this.... ...after years of being the original f*ck you punk, he goes and takes money for a butter advert!? But it sits with what he's done all along, McClarens legacy. I was likening his early incarnation as 'Johnny Rotten', the clued up punk - to the Young Soulie. ...and the later butter advertising John Lydon to the 50 something Soulie. At the end of the day people may have thought that he sold out, he didn't - he was just as clever as he ever was. Any clearer Dave?

Can we just be left to our own devices and let us enjoy our retirement? That statement speaks volumes, the older lads have kinda been through a lot of the scene-prolonging fights re music and policy that still rage today and I suppose feel a little tired of it today.

I met up with Robin about six year back at The Sands @ Southport Weekender for a chinwag - first time I'd actually seen him since we played a gig at The Dolphin in Holborn in the nineties sometime and nearly fell off me chair - how can I put this???...he used to have a lovely thatch of hair!
