  3. ...and I'm sure the box with the lid is Minshull's - that was his spec there.
  4. ...and trying to get the nicotine stains out of your arm when the sweat dripped off the ceiling onto you
  5. You couldn't move anywhere - I remember we got off home about 5am as it was just silly.
  6. Photo is taken from the right hand arch which led into the bar area from the dance floor, (Coke/brew) bar at the back.
  7. NME's go for £7 to £10 a pop on the Bay.
  8. I remember asking the muscly black lad with the blonde hair cut (Wayne Hackett from Leigh when I later was allocated old enough to be allowed to speak to him on a level ) that used to dance to the left of the stage in M's what this instrumental was that I'd heard each time I had been in M's but had no idea what it was...... "'Scuse me mate but what's this?" The reply..... "A Ton Of Dynamite!!" In fucking one! I was sold on this life that I have since lived by, right then and right there. I still miss the intensity of M's. Anyone used to nick in the Casino round the back through M's btw (creep through M's with the lights on, through the double doors by the staircase and down into the Gents toilets and hide in the bogs)? If you did you understood that the Casino was built on an incline.
  9. Not sure of 'Comedy Sale' but not sure if I'd bother with this for the money he wants... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221188869339&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
  10. There's very little that offends me when I go to local do's musically or otherwise. Maybe some of the problem folk have with local do's which bring only local folk and not many 'players' is the lack of brown-nosing that can be done? Maybe not?
  11. As they say - 'let the market decide' I don't put my sales stuff up anywhere other than Ebay. It's an ever changing market and as much as the odd bit may go for 99p (never good), there's always two or three that sell that amaze me with what they bring. We all keep our eye on stuff on there, so not much gets away cheap that's worth it - but there are many, many records that I see on here for £30 to £50 that struggle to reach a tenner in the real world.
  12. Apologies not a record but I love the fact that someone has gone through life thinking that this item is actually named after a pair of knickers from Cheshire https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281061739828?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  13. It got played at least three times on the bounce on the last night if I remember correctly, people ready to do a sit in.
  14. 14 to 20 non-Northern Blondie - Parallel Lines TV Smith - Last Words Of The Great Explorer X Ray Spex - Germfree Adolescents Ian Dury - New Boots And Panties Ian Dury - Do It Yourself...(Til they went grey) Stranglers - No More Heroes Teardrop Explodes - Kilimanjaro (1st issue without 'Reward' ) Simple Minds - Glittering Prize (such a great album) Blancmange - Happy Families blah, blah, blah
  15. A French fella gave me a '1' for 'Item As Described' as I'd failed to notice that the labels (Vocal & Inst) on a track I sold him were pasted on the record the wrong way round - Merci beaucoup!!
  16. OI personally don't give a monkeys, none of it or all of it haven't changed a thing for me.
  17. I didn't say it was or wasn't, just reminding you of the thread title mate.
  18. 'Non- Soul' per se was the question Pete, all the above are Northern.
  19. Jim, there's so many things I could say to that if I could be arsed.
  20. So we're suckers for UK Pop, Latin Pop, Novelty Dance, Instrumentals, Themes, Rock 'n' Roll, Garage, Psyche, Rock....and Soul.
