  1. I missed that one!
  2. I noticed that M&W are on later with another episode of their new series, 'Gone Fishing'. I'm not into fishing but do enjoy these programmes. Just wondered what they listen to in the car while travelling to have a few days out there fishing? This could be a favourite; what other fish related tracks would you add for them?
  3. Just flicked through this week's Waitrose 'Weekend' newspaper and surprised to see a 2 page spread where Stuart Maconie normally has a column featuring Northern Soul, focussed on the up coming screening of the Prom.
  4. If you ordered through Rare Toones then you might be getting this little beauty in the post today:
  5. Sad news in today's Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2023/aug/09/searching-for-sugar-man-singer-rodriguez-dies
  6. Both issue copies (£14) and promo (£28) are now available on the Rare Toones website. Bagged my issue copy £2 postage by the way.
  7. Not sure, but when I looked earlier and just now the Kimberlite website does show the new Broken Hearts Inc record on the home page: https://kimberliterecords.com
  8. Yes, I wondered about that, but am not sure why the issue copy shows as sold out, but the promo shows the price (£28). Neither of them lets you actually place an order, so I guess that as you say, that won't be possible until the 6th August.
  9. Issue copy seems sold out, not sure if that will change on the 6th.
  10. Missed this at the time and sadly not available on Amazon at the moment.
  11. As I'm maxed out on being able to just post likes; I completely agree. Obviously it was total nostalgia, but even without being able to watch as yet, just listening and knowing it was all live it was hugely impressive.
  12. Time will pass you by. Yep. But the legacy remains.
  13. Heading into the 3 before 8....
  14. Agree. Perfectly decent version but strangely not in keeping with just how true to form the rest has been. But then again, imagine how proud Edwin would have been to have his song showcased like this in the Albert Hall!
  15. It Really Hurts Me Girl Tough one to reproduce. This sounds good to me. Maybe a top example of the quality of how well this prom has captured this music?
  16. Doing a great job
  17. When I checked on the website this evening, it is listed as one of the selected proms to be televised, but it didn't have any details. I'd guess it will be out via iPlayer maybe in a few days?
  18. Joe Dudell & Fiona Price, who arranged the performances. Well done you two; organising obviously highly skilled musicians and really talented vocalists and serving us a beautiful range of renditions of the songs we all love, bringing them to life with amazing skill and avoiding the temptation of going off piste!
  19. Anyone know if the backing singers are the ones not headlining for the song but listed as the singers for the event, or another bunch altogether? Either way, they're good!
  20. Strangely, although I was disappointed that it wasn't live on TV, I'm enjoying it more just listening via a decent speaker with some good bass (playing from the iPhone onto HomePod). It's kind of more like being there! The quality of music, singing and arrangement is really excellent, can't see it falling off here on in.
  21. I can't add a like to that but yes!
  22. Track listing from the BBC Sounds link, not sure where to find confirmation of who the singers are on each specific track:
