  1. Sounds like a labour of love Steve. Where will it go on sale?
  2. Enough for them to enjoy a decent CD on their travels, time to call it quits I think.... And away!
  3. Nice coincidence between the lyric and the previous record
  4. Hold on; surely there are more to come??
  5. Good titles, not familiar with those, and excellent track in the image. Posted earlier in the list by @Owd Codger too.
  6. Nice album. I'm guessing that's a lemon sole (anybody know their fish?). Clever choice of image compared to the sultry sexual covers you often see.
  7. Not heard that before, love it. It feels like it would be something Bob Mortimer might be whistling as he takes another distracted tumble.
  8. Good spot. Wonder if that was George Clinton slipping that one in, given the Funkadelic track (Fish, chips and sweat) that @De-to posted earlier? Impressive writing team with him alongside Holland and Dozier.
  9. Classic, love his voice.
  10. Sadly I'm maxed out on reactions for the day it seems. But good to see the reference to the Fat Fish label earlier, and linked to that , the Leon Haywood track from @Mickyfinn above. So here's Leon on Fat Fish:
  11. Thanks for chipping in people (see what I did there @De-to ). Plenty more fish related tracks in the sea still to come I hope....
  12. Great suggestions so far - really love this one, an old soul pack winner for me. Nice. It was actually listening to this while painting the hallway this afternoon that gave me the idea for the thread!
  13. I missed that one!
  14. I noticed that M&W are on later with another episode of their new series, 'Gone Fishing'. I'm not into fishing but do enjoy these programmes. Just wondered what they listen to in the car while travelling to have a few days out there fishing? This could be a favourite; what other fish related tracks would you add for them?
  15. Just flicked through this week's Waitrose 'Weekend' newspaper and surprised to see a 2 page spread where Stuart Maconie normally has a column featuring Northern Soul, focussed on the up coming screening of the Prom.
  16. If you ordered through Rare Toones then you might be getting this little beauty in the post today:
  17. Sad news in today's Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2023/aug/09/searching-for-sugar-man-singer-rodriguez-dies
  18. Both issue copies (£14) and promo (£28) are now available on the Rare Toones website. Bagged my issue copy £2 postage by the way.
  19. Not sure, but when I looked earlier and just now the Kimberlite website does show the new Broken Hearts Inc record on the home page: https://kimberliterecords.com
  20. Yes, I wondered about that, but am not sure why the issue copy shows as sold out, but the promo shows the price (£28). Neither of them lets you actually place an order, so I guess that as you say, that won't be possible until the 6th August.
  21. Issue copy seems sold out, not sure if that will change on the 6th.
  22. Missed this at the time and sadly not available on Amazon at the moment.
  23. As I'm maxed out on being able to just post likes; I completely agree. Obviously it was total nostalgia, but even without being able to watch as yet, just listening and knowing it was all live it was hugely impressive.
