  1. Nancy Butts 'I Get Lonely' is probably the best record on the label ( imho) the mix lacks bass, but that's just a quibble don't think it's ever been booted
  2. I found the Big George in one of my loose boxes... it's on Kable, not Mickays
  3. Big George is a maroon / silver label & it's R&B iirc
  4. likely the same seller, both from the same area in MI etc
  5. well, we have seen sellers who kept listing 1000 dollar rarities again and again until the last copies were selling for a couple hundred - Four Tracks, Clara Hardy etc mostly antique dealers who don't specialize in records, got the old stock for cheap and just want quick money this seller is obviously a fraud tho
  6. I have the record and listened to it
  7. the Streamline record is 70's rock - sounds a bit like the Doobie Brothers or Gordon Lightfoot etc the labels aren't the same either, the Streamline label is from a Detroit suburb called Livonia, the Ebonies label looks like it might be from Chicago, Illinois ( "Land of Lincoln"
  8. I saw Cappy at a record show earlier this year, he's still buying records for himself, but not selling never had a chance to visit his store, but I'm pretty sure that reason he closed it up in the 80s was crime - iirc a nearby store owner had been killed in an armed robbery pretty sure he eventually sold the store stock to Carl and Candy ( RIP ) Bob Mays is still truckin' along, gardening, publishing poetry chapbooks and selling records out of his living room
  9. the label is run by a Detroit 45 collector great guy https://www.discogs.com/label/107529-D-wreckEd-hiT
  10. it's already on a Grapevine CD
  11. oh good. another pointless repro to clog up the online bins
  12. sounds like early Funkadelic - like something off 'Free Your Mind' with the dubbed-out vocals - also reminds me a bit of that Organgrinder record on Black Rock ( which is a Black Merda thing )
  13. do you mean the IMPACS( no 'T')??? Detroit group that backed Edwin Starr as 'The Soul Agents' later they became Black Merda
  14. $400 for international shipping? $150 for domestic? WTF
  15. check the package weight on the postage label
  16. there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Ultimate 1999 version Ultimate 1999 is the bands own label - I'd guess the 2nd press came out a year after the Aquarius?
  17. PG looks like a 70s pressing and it does turn up occasionally around Detroit, but I can't figure out why the pressing was done - a rock n roll revival collectible? this wasn't played in England until the 80's right?
  18. it's a way of advertising RECORD FOR SALE - OFFERS
  19. if your records are getting trashed from being played out you must be doing something wrong
  20. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=nemo23&hash=item3ce91ebf38&item=261609144120&pt=Music_on_Vinyl&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313&_nkw=&_sacat=0 conditions vary - all with soundclips thanks btb
  21. Bynum is rare in Detroit - it didn't sell and all the unplayed stock got shipped overseas during the era of the great soul 45 reaping
  22. there's also a later vinyl boot, probably from the late 80s/90s the labels on that one look very close to the original
  23. guess y'all better wait for a mint copy then
  24. I think I hear boba spinning in his grave
  25. this was bootlegged on demo right?
