Thought Ady may have been on with an explanation, that's if he realised when doing the CD that it was different, maybe he didn't.
-
"Girls b/w Oh my love", hardly known compared to "My Life", which if memories serves me right was quite a popular play back in the 80's.
-
Will it effected your ebay bids - stateside purchases, etc.
-
MASSIVE POP SOUL/CHART RECORD still hear it played out in local disco's.

This ain't no cover version, good double sider, "Oh my Love" is a uptempo niter sound after the opening seconds of do-wop wailing, while "Girls" is another nice group dancer. Copy for sale if anybody is interested £75, and much rarer than "My life".

Recommended purchase for beach/northern soul fans, a real labour of love by Greg and his family. I had the pleasure of taking Greg and his family to Prestwich and Lowton last year so he could compare the US 60's beach scene to the UK northern soul scene. Dancing was the obvious connection, but the 60's beach scene was much more about live bands, mostly white, who it seems all wanted to sound black. The Rolling Stones fitted perfectly into this scene on their first US tour as their sound was firmly influenced by R&B in those early days. Mark

It's just not UK releases, there plenty of US releases that the artist hadn't a clue their effort was released, in lots of cases the were just paid for a session the tapes were then offered around to whoever and released, the only time artist would have been aware if it struck gold and became a hit, there's numerous stories of this happening in the states, so why be suprised it happended in the UK or else where in the world.
