    ATB Dave

Hi Dave is your box full as it would not accept my pm..

You sorted with J Shorter or still looking ?

  3. I had a guy who wanted to charge me $20 for posting a 45, i told him he was taking the hiss, he replied fine "I'll lower my postage if you insist, but then I will be putting the value on customs slip".:P

    Told him to poke it...

  4. Mines not an expensive record - but I was still pissed off! :hypo:

Bought a copy of Harold Melvins "Prayin" at a niter at Notts County Footy ground a few years ago. Walking over Lady Bay Bridge on my way home in the morning and for some reason I sort of flicked the cardboard sleeve. The fookin record shot out and frisbeed into the Trent.

    :D

I shouldn't laugh but that really tickled me, :D:D:thumbsup:

thank you for my first giggle on what has so far been a s**t of a day..

    Dolly

  5. hello? Floor not a good place! :D

Oh how right you are... :shades:

My 4yr old was out playing I had the house to myself (including floor space) :D:D

Batch of 45's on the floor including a copy of James Shorter on La Beat which I'd just sold and was wrapping ready for posting...

To cut it short, Carla came running into the room, Delicate little feet !!! straight on top of my records.

She missed my recently brought copy of Freddie Williams  but managed to snap James Shorter.

Every cloud has a silver lining so they say. In this case the silver lining was, finding out the buyer was someone to ovoid in the future.

  6. Now you're steping into the terrirtory of some of the countries best rather than those breaking through...

Agree with you though and all got rave reviews when they DJ'd at Bury ( to the point that Pete and Dolly are back for our final night next month!)

And very much looking forward to it ....

  8. I'm hoping that someone can help with this one?

I have a copy of Youngblood Smith "You Can Split" on a pale blue Verve demo missing from my sales box.

The last time it was in my sales box was at the last Winsford all-niter. A lad asked me if it was my copy while looking through my box in the record sales area at the back of the room. I didn't know the guy but I did pick up my box once he was done looking, but was chatting at the time and not hanging over his shoulder so it could have been misplaced then.

I'm hoping that perhaps it has been looked at by someone and possibly replaced in the wrong box in error. I really hope so.

If you were at Winsford and selling in the main record bar - or if you know someone who was - could you please check your boxes and see if you haven't got a spare Youngblood Smith that shouldn't be there.

Please reply on here, by PM or cal me on 07825 626662.

    Got my fingers crossed sad.gif
