  1. Johnny honeycutt seems very reasonable considering how silly some prices are these days. willie johnson is that still very rare it always used to be and price suggets it still is. Great record.

  6. See my 2nd post.....
  7. Popsike suggests i'm out of touch with that one.... probably over a ton and up to 150 ?
  8. I dont have a copy but agree 100% that 175 is too much. i'd sy it should be more like 75.
  9. Enjoyed the show I thought Beverly knight sang particularly well and the smiles on the old faces showed they still enjoy it.
  10. Well done.
  11. Yes i had a good look at the images and they look exactly the same to me patriculary the minor wear in the box behind the v.
  12. Yes i agree with this i wasnt trying to belittle the records in any way and i dont know one way or the other. Just making an observation. keep loving me is classic northern. it would be nice to get to the bottom of things like this with some proper evidence.

  16. I assumed it must be same copy ? ebay winner cashing in.....
  17. Just listen to as much as you can via internet mixes, radio shows etc and if an artist or label gets your attention see what else is on that label. or build knowledge going round the different states. lots of detailed blogs and web pages now. some of the high quality output labels (tuska, peachtree etc) now have compilations with very good sleeve notes. Buy these.
  18. Uptempo side sounds ok but the ballad sounds to have a noise on every rotation I had a copy and it didn't have that fault so don't think it will be on them all.
  19. Only a couple gone plenty of good stuff still available....
  20. Buying cheap 45s from states on eBay made more sense when postage was far cheaper now it's hard to justify on individual records so you need to buy a batch. some good sales on here imo getting to know collectors is always a must then you will get to know those with similar taste who can help with price info etc its a bottomless pit of records enjoy
  21. its a bit too early to sound northern IMO 1961 or there about still sounds quite primitive. there is a storming later uptempo version of don't cry no more by lloyd hendricks now that is much more like it for a northern floor.
