  1. I might be wrong but i dont think the records on the shelves are part of this collection ? Thats there existing stock and as you say duplicates. it does look like all lp's
  2. Well it’s not heading anywhere near my house music top 10 but i’m Sure I’ve danced to far worse at times. and plenty far better as well. there are loads from that era that really haven’t stood the rest of time.
  3. Find a japanese seller or buyer on ebay and send them a message asking if they can help ? maybe somebody you have dealt with in the past.
  4. Can’t help with who it is but that’s just the kind of house I would happily have danced to 25 years ago. a nice groove.
  5. Thats even worse then i live in nottingham and didnt even go....
  6. You did.. not sure how many sweet soul collectors follow activity on here to see this ?
  7. I think its a lot better than fill a gap. sweet soul collectors will want this. Get it on ebay.....
  8. Not to keen on that side pretty boring doesnt really do anything for me.
  9. Quite nice i could see some lowrider / sweet soul collector interest in it. first time i've come across it but i'm not looking particulary hard anymore. in a similar way sweet memories by robert tanner became a huge record when his other equally good record on same label remained largely untalked about or played.
  10. Wow. i can remember tim brown listing this for 20 quid when it was a 150 quid record. not sure how may he had ?
  11. Thats the glastonbury set i remember. Less than average with a very self indulgent damon albarn Who even stopped and started bobby a couple of times on the intro to one of tne songs. still managed to do a decent spot with his classics for the second half of the set. i was only watching on the TV. bobby womack must have been sensational live in his prime.
  12. Thats is some room very impressive. in top pic you seem to have a, b, c on top shelf and repeated on 2nd shelf. why not just have them all sorted in one go ? different genres ?
  13. The ikea cube shelving has always served me well and comes in lots of sizes.
  14. From thousands of records over the years this one somehow got missed i am usually thorough enough. i was happy enough selling but wouldnt have minded enjoying the other side a bit first.......
  15. Sold the uptights look a little higher without ever listening to the flip. a while later i heard it on a comp CD thought this is brilliant what is it ? felt a bit daft when i read who it was.....
  16. Perhaps it’s not overplayed in the states ?
  17. So if you file by artist where would you put billy ball and upsetters featuring Roosevelt Matthews ? i suppose you only have to check 3 possibilities. mine are filed by surname (mostly)
  18. Couple of still cheap tips from me doris duke "the feeling is right" just seen this on a playlist amongst some serious rarities so maybe starting to get some dj attention. lavell kamma i know where its at tupello difficult to pigeon hole but a nice record with a strong vocal cant find a clip on youtube to add
  19. Some brilliant records there. just my kind of spot.
  20. I didnt know he had that cheap as well ? i remeber finding some online sales lists for a shop in new york and it was like a treasure trove of expensive records all very cheap. I missed them all. But often wonder if anybody did actually manage to get anything. And how late i was to getting some success.
  21. funny when you look back some of those oddball punts on cheaper interesting looking items end up being worth a lot more than something that often listed and sold for a lot more. is anybody having the same sucess now ?
  22. Rod must have had a few to let it go cheap. Wasn’t it front page focus or record of the list what ever term he used ?
  23. The mainstream northern scene is years behind. I can’t imagine a record breaking there that isn’t already known from one of the smaller scenes within the scene.
  24. Is this the record rod (voices) had for 15 quid. shortly after it was going for big money.
