  12. Yes maybe stomper is the wrong word it has a hard edge to it.
  13. There is a mountain of music for them to get there teeth (or dentures) into then.... i bought loads of those dodgy bootleg cd’s when I first got into northern they had some very good stuff from Stafford era on them. this is one I really like but haven’t heard out too often more recently. Full on stomper. .
  14. Plenty of youngsters on the scene where you are ? that can only be a good thing.
  15. It’s been hammered for 30+ years it’s amazing there a people who don’t know it.
  16. I would say it needs at least 2 people to generate a high auction end and on some cases there are plenty of other high bidders. but I do agree a high auction on one example of something does not mean that is what it is worth
  17. Reminder for these. some nice cheapies and a couple of nice obscure 45s. flip to sparkz is fantastic. Bags of potential.

  20. Fair enough your opening post on this thread doesn’t suggest that’s what it is about ? more just a free for all to discuss share anecdotes
  21. No I didn’t take it personally just adding what it was about for me
  22. My involvement has been hear as much soul music as I possibly could try and find original copies of those I like or I feel have some potential. Finding records after years of searching was a big part of it for me. i have never been a DJ
  23. I don’t believe a record should be consigned to history if it has been booted or reissued. i do believe it should be played of original vinyl. The point about owning the original and playing a pressing makes some sense though as prices are just so high that they are as much an investment as a record now. loads of great and very rare records have been booted or reissued and they all still get played not sure why one in particular should be any different.
