  1. You could get 20gbp or a bit more on eBay.

Sam moultrie there is a thread on this forum from 2009 talking about both label releases and some discussion about its value then which seems to be much less than you would get now

Millionaires is an easy fast sell and should get about 80 quid possibly a bit more.

It’s odd that people thinking of selling up haven’t done a bit of their own homework.
  5. Rick i agree it’s just an ok dance floor side. i do think the ballad on the flip is quite good though and certainly the best side. i remember rod having these but I never got one. Had some great records from rod.

There is a really nice sweet soul 45 with a red label just need to remember what it is...
  7. It was in lovely condition. Amazing these records are still turning up. After all this time.
  8. It will be interesting to see what else the seller got on that find. how many copies of inspirations are we up to now ?
  9. Your tastes will change and evolve the more you listen. most of the must have records from your first spell of buying will be making way for the next lot and that cycle keeps repeating until you get a collection you are happy with. constantly buying and selling is the best way to build a collection IMO.
  10. Manship has one I have no idea if it’s the right price as I don’t know this record.
  11. I bet somebody knows but it’s not me. something that came out on 2 labels. ST and virtue.
  12. And once you’ve sold a few it makes the next few easier. you can still enjoy the music without owning the vinyl.
  13. Camping 2 mins from the brewery so would be rude not to try the local beer. Get an 8.5% DIPA as well for after this. tunes, Milton Parker, natural four, j.b Bingham and others....
  14. The doing me right on Pearce you listed is a very good price. Surprised that didn’t sell its a very nice blue eyed soul record.
  15. I think that reply touches on a couple of points that I was getting at with my initial response. i’ve been slowly selling bits and pieces for a couple of years now and based my answer on my own experiences. i do agree I see lots of 5 to 10 records listed for 20. my last small list on here I only sold one record.
  16. That’s the value of record that is very time consuming and slow moving to sell. in my experience it’s not until they are three figure records that they sell for very little effort. unless you are planning to sell at a price below all others.
  17. Plantation original dark rum an old Paul Collins radio show I recorded onto CD
  18. It could be. Shame about the crackle on the intro. But i’ve got a few that sound worse to be honest.
  19. Meeting collectors face to face in other countries having spoken online was a good thing. Putting a face to a name and sharing some good times.
  20. Fast reliable internet and demand in sweet soul sides have both played a big part for me. you can be in instant communication with Japan, America and Europe at the same time. i used to enjoy looking through the record boxes on a night out but the internet saw a decline in traffic in record bars IMO. there was still some trade but it slowed it down its so much easier to do it from home.
  21. Is there any connection here to the artist willie mcdougal who recorded on Kinard ? and also as billy Mack on Tina.
  22. I would say pretty much every LP by Bobby Womack will have some great soul music on it. Also all the Randy Brown LP’s all should be cheapish
  23. I’d say poets gives it a strong run for its money I love some of Tommy ridgleys records but have never fully clicked with this side. the Matt brown is also great both sides the B side a great alternative to the pep brown version.
  24. Apologies if this has already been on you get 2 fantastic sides on this great cheap record
  25. Mal this is a tru glo town beat ballad i used to rave about which also never got the reputation it deserves. From such a well known artist as well.
