  1. I would imagine it’s what the photos are that could raise a few eye brows. nothing to do with revealing any info
  2. its crazy I see stuff every month I've had in the fairly recent past going for very high prices. that dirk and Tony I bought as an oddball soul record for 20 or 30 quid.
  3. Great set the Eddie Parker is probably my all time favourite record. Soul perfection.
  4. an obvious one but a great oldie
  5. Kim tolliver “i’m Loosing the feeling” well regarded by many I love it and rate it as one of her best
  6. Joe hicks another which comes with a great rare northern b side
  7. There must be a few examples where a record comes out more than once and one of the variants is much harder to find and has a different flip. another rare example is love is not a stranger by j.p Robinson the rare local release having a great b side that does not appear on the easy to find national release.
  8. Mal dont want to be rude but are you sure you got this release ? If so you did very well. or you have the thought with a different flip side?
  9. You would get so many conflicting numbers but its a great idea in principal. and whats considered rare to one person would be fairly common to another. i have taken a break from watching prices and records appearing for sale and so many easy to pick up 30 to 50 dollar records are now 200gbp plus. This also adds large gaps to any detail i hsed to have. The word rare seems to get used more as the price increases. i couldnt name any new records from the last 10 years and i'm sure plenty of others could.
  10. From Wikipedia A cover version was recorded by Aretha Franklin's sister Erma Franklin in 1970 as the B-side to a pair of Jackie Wilson songs (A-side: Whispers (Gettin' Louder)) and was part of a 1986 NME Northern soulcompilation cassette, Feet Start Dancing. is it this one or another ?
  11. I love this record and think it’s rare but also found it a tricky one to sell so an odd one to guage. good luck.
  12. Love this instrumental
  13. The intro to invitations “look on the good side” is very atmospheric and uplifting flame n king “happy days” is another atmospheric feel good track
  14. You could get 20gbp or a bit more on eBay.
  15. Sam moultrie there is a thread on this forum from 2009 talking about both label releases and some discussion about its value then which seems to be much less than you would get now
  16. Millionaires is an easy fast sell and should get about 80 quid possibly a bit more.
  17. It’s odd that people thinking of selling up haven’t done a bit of their own homework.
  18. Rick i agree it’s just an ok dance floor side. i do think the ballad on the flip is quite good though and certainly the best side. i remember rod having these but I never got one. Had some great records from rod.
  19. There is a really nice sweet soul 45 with a red label just need to remember what it is...
  20. It was in lovely condition. Amazing these records are still turning up. After all this time.
  21. It will be interesting to see what else the seller got on that find. how many copies of inspirations are we up to now ?
  22. Your tastes will change and evolve the more you listen. most of the must have records from your first spell of buying will be making way for the next lot and that cycle keeps repeating until you get a collection you are happy with. constantly buying and selling is the best way to build a collection IMO.
  23. Manship has one I have no idea if it’s the right price as I don’t know this record.
  24. I bet somebody knows but it’s not me. something that came out on 2 labels. ST and virtue.
  25. And once you’ve sold a few it makes the next few easier. you can still enjoy the music without owning the vinyl.
