  1. if its a tight hairline crack and NAP then 25% of the records M- value prehaps ? i've just had this same dilema myself but I was buying not selling.
  2. "chick chick" was on a dome anniversary tape. Good record. I did spend some time looking for it a while back and never saw it. I always thought the 30UK in manship seemed low. Not something i've looked for in ages so don't know whats a sensible price now but 30UK certainly seems good / cheap to me. if the seller has another i'll have one
  3. interesting is the LP any good ? worth searching for..... I like the cleaner sound on the remake but so far only have the teako version. Would like it on the other label if you can help boba but don't think it should cost me too much ? you've confirmed my hispanic suspicion.
  4. this also got cut again on another label in the 80s. the teako version is pants but it has a great harmony flip. They sound a bit mexican or hispanic prehaps ?
  5. yeah but I said SOUL not NORTHERN SOUL i'd be in full agreement with you regarding northern soul as that is purely aimed at a dancefloor. nice you think its a novely record that was my point realy.
  6. exactly.
  7. this is a 45 I always expected to shoot up in value but I don't think it has............ yet. that price sounds sensible money well spent 2 good sides.
  8. they are around right now not sure on price though ? seen from $150 right up to £200 so say $400. I think the latter value is too high. nice ballad on the flip as well. piggylo is the label.
  9. I'm more inclined to agree with this viewpoint. A soul song needs a proper vocal not just a good backing track.
  10. the idea of a successful site like ebay makes it a one stop shop that is quick and easy. I like it. Other lesser used sites will throw up bargains but the time and effort against sucess is much lower. on ebay you know if you spend the time looking there is bound to be something you can buy and you will get it for a good price. this is a buyers perspective. I don't have an opinion from the selling poerspective.
  11. he did 2 others 45s I know off one on ovide and one on cotillion.
  12. got this now thanks
  13. "Hometown boy / too much" visually this is vg- or there abouts. Lots of surface marks and small sticker on label. "too much" has been skimmed so plays through with no background noise but has lost some of its depth of sound. "hometown boy" plays great, nice and loud and has not been skimmed. so hb would make a great DJ side and I have played too much in a venue myself and it didn't suffer too badly. M- i'd be asking 350 / 400 UK but for this i'd want 150UK the phrase "suitable for DJ'ing" springs to mind and hometown boy still has a lot of life in it.
  14. Does anybody have an e-mail address for Dean please. Dylan
  15. gemm, netsoundsmusic, endless dealers sites and lists. but ebay is still my buying place of choice.
  16. 20 quid should cover it.
  17. i'm not interested in it, vegas might be.....
  18. $50 does seem a bit optimistic. That is probably the price it should be but it always sells for more than that.
  19. something of a deep soul holy grail as well..... but the dancefloor side pushed it way out of my league. I knew I was stuffed when it was over $2000 with 3 days at least to go. but not his best deep side.
  20. peps did a version of "detroit michigan" as well but I think you have the better version with RL.
  21. I had a similar expertienece with this guy. Well described item and a good price just took a long time to arrive. But once you'vre dealt with him once you know what to expect and the 2nd time and its not as stressful.
  22. Arthur Freeman on Jumbo has been on ebay quite a lot lately. I never got to know exactly how many were found by the guy who szold a few very cheap a year or so ago but right now it s still selling fro around $500 despite a fairly steady supply. I've heard a few different quantities. I wonder how long before they dry up......... I like the record but i'm being cautious with this one. Unless somebody want to sell me one cheap
  23. I actually prefer the other side of this kind of early house music a bit baleric but great none the less. I find "some things" is average at best. I heard John has had to pull things in the past where people have bid on there own stuff but that is only one of many possible reasons why this would be pulled. Can't start assuming that just yet......
  24. is this a different GG to the guy on HI... I think it is but can't remember seen a couple of these on ebay recently usually around $200 if memory serves me right.
  25. issues do sometimes get the flip which doesn't appear on the demo's that just have the same song on both sides. In this case they should probably be worth more as you get 2 songs. not realy relevant to the original post just an obseravtion which could effect price.....
