  1. good so I can expect to pay less for it them
  2. Using from there musical history and showing knowledge of their predecessors. good stuff I like it. a big % of the hip hop artists must love soul music. They will have grown up with it.
  3. whats the demand on other one "its so hard to say so long" same demand for it or a bit less ?
  4. google it. Couldn't be any easier.... its there.
  5. over 300 for enchantments !!! sold mine for about 60 or 70 a few years ago and dsidn't think it would ever go above that value TBH. There was never a shortage of copies coming onto the market at that price ?
  6. anybody
  7. gene allison "if I ever needed your love" del-nita been after this for quite a while. very worthy uptempo flip also nice and gritty.
  8. "rainbow road" cetainly goes very cheap on ebay these days considering its quality. there are plenty of titles still going for a lot of money though. I get outbid all the time. I don't mind paying if its the right 45.
  9. its OK but probably his worst 45 not worth 60 quid.
  10. so who was the top DJ that baught it then ?
  11. Looking for Geater Davis on MT "right back for more / i'll take care of you" I don't need the release with pts 1 & 2 of "right back for more" PM if you can help, cheers.
  12. i'd like to hear this Jimmy Armstrong both sides if possible. are you putting it onto a CD comp ady ? Let me know which one i'd order a copy.
  13. why should we be grateful for duffys music bringing a few new faces onto the soul scene. if they have to wait for duffy to spoon feed them music they are the wrong type of people anyway with no ability to find soul for themsleves. they will be onto somnething else in 6 months time. who is duffy anyway never heard of her ? is she fit ?
  14. See so many times people throwing daft valuations around on records they have neither baught or sold for those prices ? not sure what it achieves.
  15. They usually appear out of the woodwork when something very rare comes up for sale. In my experience they tend to go more for deep and southern. And tend to have very good taste in soul music. Didn't whole warehouses of 45s used to get shipped over to japan by collectors in the early days ? Hitoshi must have one of the best collections out there. His blog is stunning.
  16. A few 45s available. All prices in UK sterling Edward Hamilton "Just let me know / i'm gonna love you" Mary Jane Ex 60 Cookie Jackson "Find me a lover / love brings pain" Uptown ex (find side) vg+ (love side) both sides play great but love has a ring mark towards outer grooves. 40 Caprells "What you need baby" Bano M- 20 Bill Brandon & Lorraine Johnson "Let me be your full time groover" Moonsong EX 50 Tim Murray "Thinking of you" Detroit tracks Ex 50 stunning 45 here should be massive. Sebastian Williams "get your point over" Ovide M- 20 ON HOLD / NOW SOLD. Buddy Ace "True love money can't buy" Duke Ex 40 oh and one more I nearly forgot.... Innersouls "Just take your time / toughts" Plemmons OFFERS. SOLD !! Serious rariry here and one hell of a double sider. If this sells I doubt very much i'll ever get it back so its not going cheap. Its not pretty to look at so would get a low visual grade prehaps as low as vg- but the play grade would be much higher. the uptempo hard funk soul side plays fantastic and the ballad side plays well after the crackly intro. thanks, dylan
  17. is this another version of the famous flames song on same label ?
  18. I must have missed that. What was the C/U name ?
  19. I've known what this is for probably about 5 or 6 years now and thats how long it took me to get a copy hence i've said nowt until now. the vg- grade might have put a few off but it plays lovely. and heres a cheapie thats just great C.B Overton "Superstar lady" Shock certainly not an unknown but still worthy or much wider recognition.
  20. Here's one offering from me. Mr Percolator "I can't get enough" Wax Wel Hard driving soul music. Just how Northern should be
  21. i've lost count on the number of Amy Winehouse threads we've had this year ? all as poitnless as the last.
