  1. good flip side on this 45 too. price seems about right for today. Was always an easy 20 quid record but demand has probably pushed it up a bit. $200 was probably a one off sale price never to be repeated. but "I need I need your love" is far better by Tony Owens and a bit harder to find it seems ?
  2. I know for a fact ted has had 3 copies at least one was only vg- cond though and he sold that one a long time ago. the 2 copies in my post were teds 2nd M-m and the $1000 copy. I comp;letely missed the 1at of ted M-. have to say he's had some realy good titles up last year. also the vendellas label 45 that went over $4000.
  3. Herman Good luck. Those 2 ebay copies so close together a couple of months ago one going for $4000 and other $1000 quite amazing. I know condition played a part but even so its a huge difference. I wonder if any of this labels output is ever going to turn up in any qty ? I've only ever seen odd copies of things. Finding a Buddy cantrell was so much better when it was a deep soul collectors 45 and didn't have demand for the uptempo side. It only took me about 4 years to find a copy at a good price in that situation. Now the price has gone stupid.
  4. will it be making an appearance in refosoul i'd like to hear a clip from both sides. The 2nd auction (I think) had an auction player but I couldn;t get it to work. or mp3 by e-mail anybody
  5. have king / federal / hollywood labels had a mention yet ? all great. some of the king are even yellow to keep the yellow vibe alive.
  6. I might be wrong but i'm sure this is the 2nd copy to go through ebay recently ? both sold for a lot of money. Prehaps it was same copy being resold ?
  7. got now thanks to a chap on here
  8. all the above minus motown. And a "fame production" on any label is usually a thing i'd look out for. and for the rare stuff tuska is the label for me.
  9. looks good when are these shows on ? seen good footage of the summer of love on TV was a touch young myself ... what time ?
  10. very common 45 sells for more than it should. I guess you will have to pay between 30 and 50UK ?
  11. what a crock of s**t. you have been shafted.
  12. it amazes me to. but I remember not that long ago getting one of your sales tapes with a certain 45 by Willie Hightower on Capitol for a tenner. I thought it was OK but decided not to bother buying it. Next thing I know its changing hands regulary for 70 -100UK I should have cleaned you out of all your stock.
  13. from you popular in Japan comment can I assume it has a nice sweet soul or even a deep soul flip ? Sorry for generalising but I suspect this may be the case... I've only ever heard the funk side which is OK but does get a little tiresome after lots of listens.
  14. quite simply I forgot but have contacted seller.....
  15. I gave up a long time ago trying to understand the logic of the soul scene and how the prices can vary so much. I don't think there is any logic patience seems to be the best policy for me these days. Just wait for 45s to come along at good prices as there is no shortage of them...
  16. I couldn't get this player to work either.... I find them very hit and miss about 60-70% work for me.
  17. somebody might .......
  18. prehaps not the best time to have asked about that 45 gareth fortune favours the brave you should have just baught it blind or contacted seller and asked for an mp3. It was already in my watch list prior to seeing this post, I hope youre not planning to bid too much on it....
  19. listening now very nice.
  20. does the issue have a side not on the demo ? I don't know this 45.....
  21. is this a common 45 or is it around in quantity ? I actually got mine cheap but took me a long time to find one. not sure if I was just unlucky in my searching or that its an obscure 45. I only realy play "a man ain't no stronger" side.
  22. treat them in the same way they treat you.
  23. nice to see the hype machine alive and well on the northern scene. Some things never change. the record is good but so are thousands of others. sven zetterberg was a new release that started changing hands for about 70 quid on ebay so are we to expect the same again ?
  24. J-Brew.... YOU'RE FIRED
  25. RAYONS ON DECCA IS THE BEST IN MY COLLECTION. superb.
