  1. Not just the voice but the backing track as well. It’s basically a novelty pop record a la girls aloud etc etc
  2. Yes they are auction notes with the intention of talking up the records as much as possible so should be taken with a pitch of salt. I think a lot of people find them a bit OTT now though.
  3. Yes that was my initial thought but didnt want to appear rude.
  4. Thats a nice tune. on the same page is mac staten "there she goes" john has it as a 1963 release in the description. Is that right it sounds later ?
  5. It could just simply be that a lot of stock was found. A lot of collectors who want records for the dance floor won’t care for it so may only want it for a low price and don’t think it deserves a premium.
  6. It took me a few years to find a copy. I did then find a second copy which I easily sold quickly for around 150gbp. All this was probably between 2000 and 2010. I suspect these are some kind of legitimate copies that have been done later but I just don’t know so wanted to see what others thought. The font on the labels looks a bit thinner possibly? I love the record it’s fantastic.
  7. I noticed a lot of copies of let your sweet love are on discogs cheap. I'm a little out of touch with this 45 did it get a repress or did a lot of original copies come to the market ? if it is repressed how do you tell an original from a repress ? thanks.
  8. Same could be said for so many records vibrations on that auction list being another. great oldie but a daft price. and as already been said sweet darlin how is that so much. I’ll be your champion I was found much harder to come across. Even that is probably not that hard to find.
  9. Just listened to it a few more times it’s a fantastic all nighter record.
  10. The idols is great don’t remember ever hearing that in a club.
  11. You’re so fine is the side I remember hearing first and hearing the most so that one for the memories
  12. I paid more than that for Robert sanders and also sold it for more than that. roughly double. magnetics is fantastic but that’s serious money like with most records of that calibre.
  13. goldies take on what DJ’s should be doing.
  14. Didn’t know the three jades but it’s fantastic both sides. I can see how a record that good goes from a collectors obscurity with a reasonable price tag to a bigger money item.
  15. The wane harrel is on youtube with a different image so its either been edited or its not a one off as stated in the auction ?
  16. Yep I got this and Charles Carlson at same time. Charles was priced a little higher at the time. I guess they are all in collections now I’ll see how long it is before I see another just out of curiosity...
  17. I like to look at the monthly eBay summary on here showing highest priced sales. I bet I am not alone in being shocked at some of the prices. every month pretty much without fail records I’ve baught cheap or sensibly are selling for very high prices. when I stopped buying I had half an idea I would start again when prices tumbled and assemble another small collection. That’s looking quite unlikely now. CD’s, online mixes and radio shows for me now.
  18. I knew I get my groove first through the bobby Patterson and think it’s a great record. Bobby Shannon is good but is it really better ? I prefer the original.
  19. If you can afford to put a bundle of a few 45s together from a seller its worth looking at ebay.com i always found on uk site that you would find the dregs or have to pay far more for the same record.
  20. Fantastic record still seems a little undervalued compared to some.
  21. Out of jimmy burns and bobby James which is the rarest ?
  22. Jimmy burns sounds the more polished to me but I like bobby James just as much. Nothing in it for me with these two. brand new faces is terrible
  23. Ok here on iPhone 8 we did a similar thing with a waterfall in slow motion it’s a good effect.
  24. Same here another I got for next to nothing late 90s that now sells for silly money. Came out rob smiths shop.
  25. Well that’s a bit of a surprise I got this late 90s and didn’t pay a lot for it probably about 20 quid. i appreciate the alternative flip variant is rare and expensive and also a fantastic record. I did try to get that also but never succeeded.
