  18. Actually exercise is good for asthma as it helps with breathing....however, i can over do it sometimes..usually its not a problem but on some occasions it can start me wheezing and coughing if the air is altered(too arid...when there is no air conditioning on, or full of dust....talc "over kill"in which i go outside for a "breather.")..even so, no one is to blame...its a condition some people have ,and those who do...react differently, depending on how it effects them as individuals. KTF Susan( Mrs Casper) x PS those few hours we spent at Torch Reunion, were Fantastic..... just wished we could of stayed longer.
  19. so,.... talcum powder..... nothing much, ..it can make your nite,... it can spoil it, ... it can keep a great venue open,... it can close it... it can stop injuries,... it can cause them....used sparingly then that over sticky floor becomes a ballroom,...too much , and in the wrong circumstances can cause distress and without sounding over the top....a period in hospital, or worse... Its all about awareness really and this thread brings it to light, so its not a silly or pathetic thread at all, a little humor is great so long as a bit of a message gets over... Should we use it at all ? well what else is there ? some venues ban it, probably for insurance reasons and the fact that our once a month nite causes problems for the other users on a daily basis,.... maybe?...... guess the problem is not easy to sort, 100, 200, 50 people? all with different shoes, all different weights and dance styles ? how can they all have the perfect floor, it just wont happen.... so perhaps the real answer is a little if you need it, at the side of the floor..... but consider others.....and the request of the venue promoters.. and yes it was my partner who was in distress the other day, no one to blame, just a bit of over exuberance and unawareness by some of the talc users, it caught her out i guess...she was lucky, her asthma is only mild in comparison to some, someone else may have had more acute problems ........ not so funny now eh... Nick, ? pete ktf
  20. all the way from sunny Nottingham... (but i must add i'm a Yorkshire lad ...Rotherham ) as for "bub"... what a guy, fond memories at the "tracky" club, and cleethorpes etc ...always fun on the decks as well as off...."no requests, cos i know what yer f****n want" .....and he did too, any track he played that was not "up to scratch" ( not very offten) was snatched off the deck and chucked off to one side......top bloke pete n' susan ktf
