thats sad Pete .. nothing wrong in giving up n' coming dj's .. or just people wanting to have a bit of fun playing their collection as "first spots" ,... Blackhearts too will give this chance to people, and always have done, I and many others needed this chance so what is so wrong with it , why should anyone deny this lovely oppertunity ? ( we feel 9.00pm is late enough though perhaps) .. having said that dj's after the "watershed" need to be bang on the mark for sure !!. OV is a large finacial investment to make, and is the one pathway I decided to take very soon after such a chance was given to me .. it's the only way! perhaps you should re consider your venue and keep on, since your policy was not a bad one, perhaps change the time to first spot only ? pete .

there is a large and growing movement in younger people ... stoke all nighter , bolton all nighter , blackhearts all nighter nottingham, dome london all dayers , all attract a healthy and growing following , as do the many Mod culture nights and soul nights around the country ... these people love to mix with the older crowd too , they are eager to ask how it was and then make it their own in thier own way .and thats fine and it works well ... and if you show them respect they will respect you in return , we always have a great time with them, lovely people all of em ! check this out https://www.nytimes.c...thern-soul.html pictures and a film in the right hand corner .. pete n' susan ktf

seems some are making "token" gestures to keep them out .. no one in after 11 pm ..or 10.45 ... thats not much good is it .. most people who are there for the music/ dancing are in a soul night by 10 at the latest ...normaly 9.30 unless at work late ... even then a true soulie is always known to the door people anyway ... seems to me closing the doors so late is still inviting them in, they will just leave the pub they are in 15 mins early ...if yer run such a venue that suffers from '' misbehaved '' punters then close the doors at 10 ! .. get memberships too ... pete
