  13. I have one last copy of the Captions doing Turn Out the Lights. It's pretty clean. I may just auction it on Ebay in one of my upcoming auctions. If you want to make an offer, I'll think it over. If that doesn't work, you can always bid on it with all the other folks. I plan to auction it fairly soon. (seller name: spinologist) Lots of people prefer doing business on Ebay anyway for their own protection. Best, Phil

  15. Thanks for the referral. I contacted Joe through Ebay. Here is what he wrote: Hi. I did have one for sale a couple years back, and I believe I ultimately sold it, though I don't remember how or for how much. My copy was pretty beat up. It doesn't have a great track record price-wise, but it's an oddball record, and not particularly common (though more so than the other Soul Track 45s), so it could conceivably fetch real money. I probably got $50-100 for mine, but I'm guessing. It seems to me there were some tie-ins in the credits between this one and the Detroit Sex Machines, but I don't remember specifically, and I could be wrong. Not very helpful, I know, but that's what happens when the memory goes... Best, Joe Moorehouse - 16-33-45-78
  16. Hi Boba, Thanks for the information on the Ambassadors on Soul Track. Yeah, this copy is very beat up, and plays with lots of surface noise. I will start with a low minimum bid on it in my next auction. Thanks also for the good feedback on your last acquisition from me by the Kansas City Express. I read your forum input on bootlegss. Last month, I listed the Imperial Wonders on the Solid Foundation label. it looked authentic, as the label showed wear and fading. Upon closer inspection, the marks in the trail off indicated it was a 1960's bootleg, and I had to withdraw it from the auction. Noteworthy that bootlegs were even made back then, before there the items had become collectible.
  17. I collected records in Los Angeles for over thirty years, and turned up one copy of the record, which I sold off Ebay to a well known collector about three years ago. Great record, and I transferred it to a CD before I sold it. My friend, another long time collector, used to see Agee hanging around the Adams district in Los Angeles with his cane. Jerry White, another musician and record producer, briefly reissued some of Agee's Celeste and Shirley sides onto a vinyl LP back in the 70's. He had that sonorous voice, like Percy Mayfield, just a great singer.
  18. Hi, I turned up a copy of this disc, credited to Clemmer Yancy, an Impala Record Production from Detroit. One side is funk, flipped with a ballad, a nice group release. Any info would be appreciated! Spinologist

  20. Hi, I have a 45 by a group called the Ambassador's on Soul Track Records's Sound in Motion label, an Impala Record production of Detroit, Michigan. Both sides are credited to Clemmer Yancy. The A side is a funk piece called I've Got to find Her, and the B side is a ballad called Believe In Me. Anyone heard of this one? Any information would be appreciated. The Spinologist
