Steve/Kev Strange spent Friday & Saturday night scratching my arse at two full venues (one run by some young lads in Leeds) that were playing brilliant tunes & I was learning so much about the music I love & lots were new & exciting to me...............I suppose I was been really retro as I was doing what I was taught as young wet behind the ears soulie in the 70t's & that was to hear new tunes that will become anthems of the future.I'm sorry to hear that there's no real point in the scene trying to evolve as it has for the last 40+ years.........shame. On the 40/50 something in there retro cloths when I see them they seem to have become cartoon characters of the actual fashion as I remember (& wore) it,they've taken certain elements & exaggerated them to the nth degree to make it rather strange.
