  1. Andy None of the above, just couldn't really find anything I fancied?Thought about going across to Manchester for Mark Bicknell's all-nighter but can't summon the enthusiasm .......all my mates are going to Funk-Tion in Wolverhampton but don't fancy that either.............the real reason is X Factor is starting A weekend in every now & then makes all the other night's seem better Cheers Martyn
  2. Andy And I'm stopping in all weekend Cheers Martyn PS Nice tune.
  3. Today tune is one of those that gets in your head & stays there for days? Not that well known & gets even less plays but I think if one of the top dj's was to get behind it would become a biggie?Reminds me of Albert Washington-I'm The Man Fraternity. Rodge Martin - Close My Eyes And Open Up My Mind Newark
  4. Gaz Think we should start a campaign up to get that changed,I'm gonna ask for it everytime I'm out until I hear someone play it Cheers Martyn

  6. Today's offering is one of those records that makes me thankful I'm into soul music. This sounds brilliant wherever it's played.........at a venue,in the car,at home etc. Johnny Moore - Lonely Heart In The City Blue Rock PS And won't break the bank to own one.
  7. Any info on plays of this tune would be most appreciated? The reason I ask is I've never heard it out myself but think it's too good to have been missed at some time............awesome group tune!!!! Magnificent Men-Forever Together Capitol
  8. The Margie Hendrix version of this is usually the one played but for me this version is better plus lots cheaper.I think it would take a good ear to tell the difference when played out nice & loud? The Raeletes - One Room Paradise Sue
  9. Paul Tune!!!! Saw him live at Dave Box's 60th the guys still got it. Cheers Martyn

  11. Paul Long time fave, always reminds me of The Holgate in York. Cheers Martyn
  12. Mickey That's why I go to there "do's",far more refreshing than some more established night's. Cheers Martyn
  13. What about the young un's who run there own "do's" like Empty Bottle & That Driving Beat (Leeds). They're certainly not oldies "do's" & when talking to them they just want to hear/play great music & not give it all the labels we try to heap on them. Cheers Martyn
  14. Andy Lynn said thank you, come to think of it so do I Just love it......sexy,sultry & those horns in the background WOW!! Cheers Martyn
  15. Andy Like this side but t'other side is brilliant & the better of the two for me,it also happens to be one of the bosses fave tunes. Cheers Martyn
  16. As I've been AWOL for a couple of days due to that dreaded four letter word "Work" but also going out enjoying myself I've got a bit of catching up to do which I will do hopefully today. Today's offering are couple of early Motown tunes from one of the great names of Motown but lesser know for his singing but better know as one of the great writers...........Eddie Holland. Both won't break the bank to own, both need to be played more. Eddie Holland - Jamie Motown Eddie Holland - Leaving Here Motown
  17. This has been going round in my head all day, don't know why as I haven't heard it played out in ages?Up there with the best girlie tunes ever imo, always reminds me of The Wilton. Take your pick of price, seen it at £20 or £200. Jo Ann Garrett-A Whole New Plan Chess
  18. Swifty Has this ever had much of a play?Had mine years ($5 I think) but seem to know it really well from somewhere.......or have I dreamt it Great poppie dancer. Cheers Martyn
