Today's tune is another cracker from Jean Carne but with a massive hand from Glenn Jones.I know nothing about Glenn so any info would be most appreciated as I think he's got a great voice.
Jean Carne featuring Glenn Jones-Sweet and Wonderful TSOP
Well I caved & went out, nearest night to us was Scarborough so we shot off up there & had quite a good night.Nice little venue with some nice oldies played. Not something I would want to do every week but made a nice change.
So as I'm all happy little chappy this morning thought I'd post up a bit of a jolly disco-ish tune
This was made to raise money to try to save his favourite basketball team Boston Celtic.........it worked they are still on the go??
Never understood why this has gone for three figure in the past?Always plenty of them about so would have thought £20/40 was ample(still quite a bit more then I paid for mine)??

You don't need a definitive price? As people buy or sell there record they just look it up & add to what's already been sold, over time this will the trend of prices in the real world. So people will be able to work out what is a fair price from an individual record. It will also show what records are rising in price & ones falling.I think it's a great idea if it gets off the ground

Valentino's is only a cheap, wouldn't have thought much more then a tenner.Up to yesterday it was the only version I knew & now there's hundreds

Gogger
Notice this & the Valentino's are both from 73,wonder which was first?
Like this version, maybe a touch better dancer if maybe the Valentino's vocals are a tad better????

Today's outing is a bit of early Motown from the Gordy label. It's one of those tunes that's been around for what seems like ever without getting hammered.Sounds so,so good out at a venue over a big system.

It's not the 12" format I have a problem with............it's having to break them in half to fit into my 7" playbox.........

I've got the 45 of "I Can't Understand It" but by The Valentino's,which of course was the group Bobby was lead of.It's on the Clean label?
I've been told two stories about the Clean release........either it was Bobby's last outing with The Valentino's.........or it was the first release for The Valentino's without Bobby?Must admit I think it's the first version as it dunarf sound like Bobby.

Such sad news about one the nicest guys around. We count ourselves lucky to have had Pete in our lives as it would have been a sadder journey without him.
Our condolences to all his friends & family & our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Sincerely
Martyn & Lynn
Stopping in for another weekend, can't remember last time I stayed in two weekends on the trot.....panicking I might like it
So I've thought long & hard about what to post tonight? So I've gone for an uptempo oldie, that doesn't get played much & was one of Dicke S's plays in his pomp........so a few bases covered with this one.........one that it doesn't is it isn't a cheapie?
The Q-That's The Way Hound
Thought I'd join in with the funky groove that some of the posts have had today............Play this loud the neighbours will love it
