  1. Jim I'm jealous...........47 pounds would have been cheap.Top tune Cheers Martyn
  2. Nice little mover from me today, not heard it out to often but sounds quite nice when you do.Doesn't seem to be that well known either, maybe because it's cheapie & snook under the radar of most?? Chuck Brooks-You Can't Be In Two Places At The Same Time GSF
  3. Mick From memory my demo isn't as crisp as the one looks on e-bay........will dig it out tomorrow & have a look & get back to you?Must admit never thought it'd been booted???? Cheers Martyn
  4. Dave Suits me today, what a lovely smooth, mellow piece of soul music........the sort of tune that just washes over you & you end up smiling to yourself Cheers Martyn
  5. Gary HE3 for me,think it's a lot better version.........might need my whistle, light stick & plastic sandals on to dance to it though Cheers Martyn
  6. Still in recovery mode after two night's out on the trot (getting old is shit).Great to see the Wilton rammed again just like the old days, not 100% my type of music last night but spent most of the time catching up with some old faces I'd not seen in ages which made it a magical night. As I've said on here many times I'm not live act fan so I'm probably not the best to comment on Darrow but I thought he seemed really good & everyone else seemed pleased with his performance. I'm feeling mellow today so thought this fitted my mood perfectly........ Jo Armstead - I'm Gonna Show You Giant
  7. WOW!!!What a night at Empty Bottles last night. One of the best night's of the year for me,great mix of tunes & an electric atmosphere all in on of my favourite venues(small & seedy just like they used to be).One of those night's were everything just comes together perfectly.I had one of those night with the tunes been played, some I knew, some I had & most importantly some I didn't know but had to find out because they blew me away.Plenty of new wants to the list with Charlotta Tillman-Baby I'm Serious Jose been number one........everyone else seemed to know it but me(note to self....must start listening when I'm out ) Darrow Fletcher at The Wilton tonight & by reports of his performance at The 100 club it's gonna be another top night.....can't wait So today's outing is one that was played last night,a biggie for Robbo at the old Middleton nighters a few years back. SCOTT BROS-THEY ALL CAME BACK TODDLIN TOWN
  8. Gogger Isn't "Baby Please Come Back Home" on t'other side?Same backing as "Chains" just different lyrics??Equally as good as "Chains" if memory serves me right, cracking double-sider.........if I've got it right I'm confused before I even go out......Empty Bottles for me tonight,Darrow Fletcher tomorrow night..........proper weekend Cheers Martyn
  9. Just for Mick? One I've just bought & I'm still waiting for it to land on the doormat.Proper Latin dancer............ Monguito Santamaria - Hey Sister Fania
  10. Yes slapped wrists,I've had it that long I wouldn't remember if I had Cheers Martyn
  11. Mick Been playing it out for over two years now(was played before by others) to ever increasing dancefloor reaction, bit of a biggie these days.I love it,my perfect Latin?Soulful vocals on top of that Latin beat, just blows me away. There's always been a few Latin tunes played on the scene going right back to the Wheel with stuff like Ray Barretto-Soul Drummer & others. So I think Latin has a home on the scene,it's a dance scene & the Latin beat is great to dance to?Must admit I don't like the Latin tunes with Spanish lyrics,I like them still to have a soulful vocal. Just my opinions. Cheers Martyn PS Got mine given by a mate
  12. Gary Bloody hell had mine years & never turned it over, well chuffed...........very nice Cheers Martyn
  13. Gogger Been on the wants list for ages but still not netted one yet, great tune Cheers Martyn
  14. Mick This is the version for me & the one I've heard played most Cheers Martyn
  15. Gary Like this,my type of 70t's/modern-ish dancer.New to me.Is it LP or on 45 please? Cheers Martyn
  16. R n B mover from me today, won't be to everyone's taste but I love things that are slightly left-field & this certainly fits that bill. One of those that has been rising in value as it's been picking more plays up but I think with a bit of trawling about you should be still get one for around the £30 mark??? Cecil Garrett & The Fascinations - Bearcat pt1 Calla
  17. I'm back?Tinternet problems yesterday, kin server. If you like a bit of funky northern this one's for you, seems to have slipped under the radar a bit but not in our house.Books at £100 but seen it for a lot less then that & I only paid a few dollars for mine.Think Millie is very underrated as a singer & she's done some great stuff. Millie Jackson-My Heart Took A Licking MGM
