  10. PTP Have you thought that maybe if you didn't have so many wants it wouldn't happen so often It happens to me that often I take it as just the norm of collecting & just makes me realise how bad my addiction is That's all part of the fun innit.........imagine if you had endless funds & you could buy all your wants in one go it'd soon get boring........but what a collection Cheers Martyn
  11. Phil As you know Ernest Moseley's always a winner with me See you next month. Cheers Martyn

  17. Dave I couldn't disagree more,it's got as much relevance as any others on the list imo,so had as much right to be at the top as any of the others. As we know that's how it should be,we shouldn't agree on everything Cheers Martyn
  18. Pete No because I cheated & voted twice Cheers Martyn
  19. Best part of the book for me was the top tens & the rest of the titbits, plus seeing of the scans of records I'd never seen before. Cheers Martyn
  20. John I belong to an internet soul forum (KTF) & one of the lads ran an alternative top 200,it was complied over quite a few weeks & members voted on each record & he worked out there positions. It's not a massive forum so it's only a small section of soulies so wouldn't dream of calling it a definitive list but it certainly made for interesting reading & not many of the so called top 500 made it to the list.I was over joyed at the number 1........Walter Jackson-It's An Uphill Climb To The Bottom OKeh............proper record. Cheers Martyn

Kev New to me & loved the start but it just never really seems to get going for me?Might be one those that needs a few more plays,it's certainly got something..........but has it got enough I'm not sure yet?Slipped in at the right venue during the right spot & it could be a winner Cheers Martyn
  22. Matt Remember Richard Searling introducing Burning Bush-Keeps On Burnin'.........just as "The Bush" Cheers Martyn
  23. Haydn I know what you mean, certain records belong to certain dj's at a particular venue. That even means they might not have been the first to play it or the original venue it was broke at...........it's just means that to you as an individual. Here's a few to be going on with that belong to a venue/dj in my mind.............. Chandlers-Your Love Makes Me Lonely.....Richard Searling.......Wigan Cissy Houston-Think It Over......Alan Rhodes.......Oval Ball Leon Peterson-Now You're On Your Own.......Roger Banks......Wilton Doris Smith-No Good Guy........Saus.........Wilton Cheers Martyn
  24. Pete All I know is that he's English.B sides not bad either, has a real catchy chorus............"Your Love Counts" Cheers Martyn
