  1. So have I got this right Ady will pick people he trust with The 100 Club's ethos to pick there personal perfect night of dj's to go along side the residents?Think this sounds a briliant idea & will bring slight twists to each night & keep it fresh, plus it will give a chance to some dj's who aren't on Ady's radar..............or have I got it all tits up? If I have got it right other nighters should do it. Cheers Martyn
  2. Having read the book I thought it did over do the drugs bit a little but as it's a group of personal stories from people from each period pulled together to tell the story of the scene it just goes to show how important the drug side was to most of us at that time.So those who have airbrushed that side of the scene out of there memories are deluded to a certain extent. What the book reminded me was that I had forgotten those frightening bastards that were about (fortunately some of em were my mates or I knew some the other big lads) but in retrospect that was one the draws of the scene.........been a bit iffy, knowing dodgy guys, breaking all the rules. I remember when the locals at Wigan used to come out the pubs after last orders & think it was fun to go "soulie" bashing,we used to pile off the Hull coach & throw ourselves into giving them a good kicking if we could.......it was the perfect night,a nighter, plenty of gear & a fight..........what more could you ask for, saved us scrapping with each other Happy days. Cheers Martyn

  5. Tracklisting looks about right to me for the time & a nice touch to have a personal choice of tunes to give a feeling of the people involved in the making of the film. Spoke to Elaine at Cleethorpes & asked her when the film would be out & she said around September? (Not read all the posts so sorry if this is old news) Cheers Martyn

  14. Is there anywhere on SS (or other sites) where I can see some plays lists of old Wheel tunes.I'm interested to see which of the classic tunes I've know for what seems like ever belong to The Wheel plus I'd like to see some of the tunes that have got lost in the mists of time so would be new tunes to me.
