I'm with you that's about as close as it gets for me too......you forgot some Latin
No perfect spot a good dj should read the room & some of the best for me over the years have been Arthur Fenn,Bob Hinsley & Roger Banks..........not always playing stuff I prefer but there reading of the room is usually top class.
I love dj's with conviction in what they are playing even if it's not quite right for me,to see there love for there music is a buzz in it's self.

Thanks,so you are about the 100th person to tell me it wasn't booted as a white demo so I'm gonna have to stop peddling that misconception...........or that lie I've made up in my head
Cheers
Martyn
Can anyone tell if the demo has been booted? For some reason I've always had in my mind it was booted in late 80'ts???????
That's why I bought an issue.

Paid £12 for mine off Roger & still think it's great & as someone said great twofer.I was amazed when it went up to £50 never mind what it has made over the past few years & as you say Chalks used to be on every list.Took off in price when it started getting plays on the oldies scene.Another that it's a case supply & demand I suppose.
AC Reed was another I couldn't see why it went for 3 figures as it charted in the States which someone said must be a minimum of 10,000 copies..........paid £7 for mine & thought I'd over paid as all my mates paid a fiver???

I know what you mean about that sort of feeling, takes you back to been 17 again (I wish ).But that "What The F**k Is This" feeling becomes more difficult the more knowledge you get so it seems that the new sounds to each individuals ears becomes more infrequent. Just glad I know nowt so happens to me more often then most

How can we have the same emotions about the records we first heard as we did when it was all new to us.We over analyse things too much now,so it's never going to happen. For me the records are out there whether it's a new discovery or something missed in the past,I still find plenty to keep me excited
