  1. Thanks for that, Iv answered all of my questions. cheers Gouch
  2. Troop; Iv seen a number of these on the net and Im a tad suspicious, this truly was a tough one to find years ago. The ones Iv seen are plain yellow, a bit to bright and clean to be 40+ years old now, and have very little writing on. Im told these are originals as it was booted with a lot more writing on the label, the difference can be clearly seen. Can any one help. Gouch
  3. Troop; Im after the two below listed tunes, must be minters or thereabouts.Issue or demo, it dont matter so long as I have both sides. Bennie Shaw "What price for love" (Excello) Cathy Davis "Here I am in love again"(Taurus) I d like to say cash waiting, but I cant but hey we all get there in the end. cheers Gouch
  4. Hi Chris; This dont help you I know but I paid 100 for mine about 6 years ago, I thought at the time Id paid over the odds.Iv never seen another one mate, to be fair I aint really looking either. Gouch

  6. Just had a looksee, that list aint that bad when you consider whats being offered up these days as soul music. I was jocking downstairs in the the Northern room. Gouch
  7. Dunno mate but during that period Colin Curtis jocked after me at one of the aldayers and played "So nobody else can hear " as a new release, I took the Monday off work and bought a copy from Graham Warr's Oasis shop.Early 80's ish. Im at work so cant get at the album to check the date. AND I did have hair at that time too.......... Gouch
  8. Troop; I remember jocking for Neil Rushton at the Birmingham Locarno Aldayers, I had a full head of hair then too, , Id just spun "I dont know about you" and was half way through "Five minutes" and I was approached quite menaceingly by a baggy trousered individual with a beer towel hanging from his waist, mind you he was wearing a shirt and not the obligatory vest,he shouted the immortal words "get this f------ modern shit off " whilst clenching a rather large fist. I wonder how much he's paid for these two tunes now that they are accepted on his scene? Gouch
  9. Troop; Great thread this, the one tune that has always stood out from the Contempo crowd for me is the Major's "Dark and lonely", as mentioned earlier by Darks. Took me years to find a minter on Okeh, both are serious prize possessions in my world. Gouch
  10. Manny/Mick; Cant get the show out of my laser flicker in the car at the minute tooooooooooooooo many highlights for me, had a parcel of 8 cd's arrive Monday still havnt played them.Superb show in every way, even the regular guy sounded ok! Gouch
  11. Troop; If anyone doubts the rareity of this amazing tunage, I remember this surfacing on the Soul Bowl New, recent page for 4.00, it only lasted for one listing and I know loads of soulies who tried to buy one at the time and failed. Gouch
  12. Troop; This is my last resort, been after These Two "If we could start over" for what seem like for ever, Iv exhausted all my normal soul haunts to no avail.I have it on the wonderful "A whole lot of soul" cd compilation, dont know the label, rareity or price. Can any one help. Cheers Gouch
  13. Troop; Im looking for information on the above group, Iv had a seven on Stomptown Records titled "Hates getting stronger".Iv played it out to good response over the years but its never really had the exposure it should have had. Its a big booming voice over a funkyish backing, a bit rough round the edges but it does get into your head. Does anyone know this tune?Has anyone else got it?Any info on the label. cheers Gouch
