  4. Rick; I have a hard drive with just short of 2000 MP3's, my very good friend the late Steve Jackson had nearly double that, there are some stunning tracks out there , the choice would be over whelming, Im finding on average 20-40 every week, it would need to be someone who has already embraced the medium and sees it for what it is. I good start would be Kevin Burt "Thankyou", started life as an MP3 and 4 months later the cd arrived. BG
  5. As someone who has consistently purchased new releases all of my life I would have to say that we are spoilt at the minute and its difficult to keep up, but keep up I must, the limited runs of some of these sevens are making these the rareities of tomorrow, I have at least 15 that have surfaced in the past 5 years that will have there day on the Northern scene as it expands once again into playing new, recent and decent, all have disappeared. I spend two hours daily searching and finding new releases, Im having a ball, and so should you. Gouch
  6. Such a sad loss, my thoughts with Val, an absolute gentleman. He will be missed in my world. Gouch

  9. 10. Graham Warr had 50 copies in his shop at the Oasis in brum, it was a massive seller for the other side and the Diskery in brum also had multiple copies for sale too, not a rare record at all but one collectors like to keep. Still think "Baby I cried" is the best side though Gouch

  17. Troop; Very informative this, for the past 30 years or so Iv sprayed the playing surface with Mr Muscle window cleaner having covered the label with a beer mat cut to size, then a cotton cloth soaked in warm water & Fairy liquid is used to wipe off the cleaner. The record is then placed into a paper sleeve and left for a couple of hours, I have never damaged any record or label and for the most part the quality of the sound has been enhanced. Now all I have to do is sort out a method of sorting out warps, tried everything nothing works consistently. Gouch
  18. Pete; PM'd you Gouch
  19. Phil; What about you playing us half hour of the more obscure Mecca tunes? Gouch
