Have to agree with you on that as i found to my own cost with Maxine Brown. There are lots of people who spout off about respect to artists and we must support them, but when it comes down to buying a ticket, thats another thing. I tried and failed this year at my own cost but have'nt given up yet, most people have no idea of the cost and effort that goes into putting a live artist on stage, i did'nt myself until this year and was shocked at the work everyone had to put in just for a 1 1/2 hour show. I have noted some of the Artists down in this thread so keep them comming, you never know who i might get next year !!!! Brav

He spends every sunday morning at car boot sales buying records and then selling them on ebay, so that he can buy the records he requires for his collection. I would just like to add that John O'Brien the guy who paid for and commissioned the plaque, has recently recovered from a Massive brain tumor operation. He realised he had the dates wrong before it went up 2 weeks ago. Due to his major operation it has left him sometimes confused and dazed, so i think we can forgive him for a mistake he made in pure sentiment to a place he loved. To add insult to injury he has the correct dates Tatooed on his arm. You really have to feel for him dont you !!!!

My point was aimed at mrdarcy comment and in no way aimed at Pete. Dont see how if i Know Eddy or if i'm a member of Soul in the Sun has anything to do with it.

I was refering to the tacky joke, but having seen what the poster writes on other threads, i doubt it was meant as a joke. Besides i know for a fact that Tommy reads all SS posts and it wouldn't be very nice for him to have to read this thread. Tommy is now 74 years of age and has not been in the best of health recently. The track was only done as a gimmick, surely he does'nt need to read all this crap about him.
