  6. Not a recent find but a very welcome one.................. 80/81 used to spend a fair amount of time in a record shop in Chapel Street market London. Used to have boxes & boxes of 60s & 70s @ 10 & 20 pence lots of motown & commercial soul but the occasional goodie such as Tom Emmanuel and Ron Experience - Why( the knower) / When you lose your groove. They also had a box of more recent stuff that hadn't sold & these were also priced @ 10 or 20pence. I bought the odd thing that looked interesting & most ended up gathering dust in the back of various boxes. Fast forward to 2006/7 flicking through manships price guide & thought that name sounds familiar, had a search in my boxes & came up with a mint copy of Herby Brown One More Broken Heart Blue Ash bought from the market shop..... a very nice profit on that one
  7. Surely it's on a cd somewhere ? Or why not just listen to it on line ?

The Chandlers was big enough to get booted, big play for Pat brady wasn't it ? Unusually the boot was a solid center dark red label, not sure but think the label was imaginatively called "Demand" . E.J Chandler was booted on the same label, anything else ?
  14. Think the Mighty Lovers might just take that title ?

  22. Always enjoyed listening to Dean,Gezz & Neil + assorted guests, lots of fun & great music ... Fortunately my guest spot was 2weeks before closure....glad it wasn't the same week ....& not plain sailing, decks weren't working for me either Andy, Dougie dashed down & sorted it while Dean was Mr Unflappable on air. Glad to have taken part in one week of chaos from the "business end" , crying shame it's finished
  23. Hopefully ordinary Joes as well .....after all a story is a story. Nicola / Andy, obviously no idea how much material you have gathered but (jumping ahead I know ) ...............whats the possibilities of a second volume ?
  24. Any idea what form the pleas from mcartney & jagger took ? Was it a "come on people dig deep if you want to keep Club 100 open" ? No one should be expected to contribute just because they're loaded but if you're involved in a campaign which fell short of the dosh required surely if they had felt down the back of one of their sofas they would have found the dosh required ? Not to worry I'll dig out my Converse boots in homage for the next 6ts
