  1. Geoff no need to wait that long, I'll play my £10 (should have been £7) Creations at Solid Hit on 5th December & Ted who is our guest that night can play his slightly rarer Classics if you ask him nicely ;-)
  2. Geoff I bloody would have done but after reading this post I had a look for it & couldn't find it, next time mate. See you tonight
  3. Hi Rich see you later mate ..............if you made it ;-)
  4. Ha Ha Top man as always Pete ...... would've given you a thumbs up (ooh er mrs) but the emi thingy doesn't work for me ;-(
  5. What ?????? I was ripped off ha ha ;-) I always thought Pete was Mr bargain man, damn !
  6. Used to play this out quite a lot 10 or more years ago love it ...a tenner from a Mr P Smith from Hastings or Brighton, somewhere on the south coast anyway Edit. Thinking about it more like 12years @ SITC
  7. Knew he'd been "unwell" big shock yesterday RIP Rick A guy full of warmth & friendliness Dave Greenhill
  8. Guess you're right Pete, I paid £60 about 10 years ago & thought it was a ton at most nowadays, before this auction what would you have sold it for ? ( & the smiley is a joke as I know you're not led by others with your prices )
  9. I mentioned it on the Broadways thread & I'll do so again David Coleman, an auction record ? hmm at that price I guess it is but in the real world ...................?????????????????
  10. Hmm why doesn't bloody emoticon work ? ;-(
  11. Cheers Steve, can't listen at work, I'll check it later.
  12. Just walking through Selfridges Department store & I had a wtf moment. Just caught the end of Betty Lavette Let me down easy ......or not. So surprised to hear it I didn't listen that carefully. The voice sounded very much like Betty & while the backing was very true to the original the 20 seconds I heard I realised that it was much more recent then the 60s. Thinking about it & the rubbish that they play through the instore system, it couldn't have been Betty & I can only assume that a remake has been recorded trying to get as close to the original as possible. Has anybody else heard this (or am I last to know as usual ?)
  13. "we feel there’s a few of you who may not own a copy" ha ha says it all really when even manship acknowledges that almost everyone has one.
  14. Brains Parker ? Is that a cover up ?
  15. Big wallets, the "ability" to read others playlists = instant dj
  16. Played it in April at Solid Hit .....hmm was going to give a thumbs up or smiley but emoticom not working ;-)
  17. Just saw that myself Pete ......unbelievable truly unbelievable David Coleman Drown my heart ..... Auction record ?
  18. Thanks Gents (tried to post a thumbs up but it's not working ;-( )
  19. Link to original thread please ? Ripped off Phil ? glad you got your dosh back (most of it)
  20. Ha ha lines crossed I think Patto, original poster mentioned the track was Mecca/Cleethorpes type sound so when you mentioned DD I assumed you meant it was played at those venues, I'll go back to sleep
  21. Don Downing played at the Mecca ? What a great record (well it was at the time, have to dig it out & see how it sounds today) Used to play it at some new release soul & funk night I used to do ........ ahhhh when I was young
  22. Price please anyone on a mint minus T.C. Lee & the Bricklayers Up & down the hill King yellow demo? Many Thanks Dave
  23. It's a matter of taste (opinion) Steve, there's loads of pop stuff that's been played that I have enjoyed hearing out, especially at Wigan with the atmosphere but this one just grates
  24. Obviously your not alone Kev, totally agree mate
  25. Old Stafford play I believe wiggy ? (where's Chalky?) Played it at Solid Hit now & again, also played the other side out a few times. Good doublesider (especially at 30 quid )
