  1. LP is rarer, and contains 2 other cracking tunes.
  2. I belive original release 7" was on Prophesy in 73 (about £70), picked up on Mums in 74 in UK (£50 ish). Original LP was on Tiger Lily £500ish Rerelase LP £15 Then came the Urban 12" release in the 8ts £5-£10 Then the Tiger Lily 12" release £5
  3. Sold my copy about 10 years ago to a Japanese guy (much to the disappointment of several UK collectors). Never really did it for me, and I thought £1000 at the time was a decent price, little did I know!
  4. Actually that LP has gone up to $50+ on Evilbay on occassions. Might be the best place to sell it.
  5. I Think this has seen 2 reissue pressings Wayne. The latest one was only about 5 years ago.
  6. Hi Wayne, I've got this LP (and the Lake 7"). As has been noted, "Only love can be with you" is a different version between 7" & LP (the 7" is better IMO). No year or producer noted on label. Very good LP though, and well worth tracking down; MIKE JEMISON "MIKE JEMISON" (circa 1989 GENEVA LP) (Prod. Unknown) Best tracks - "Spread love"/"You'll never get my love"/"Love can be with you"/"Satisfaction"/"Let's bring back the good times"/"Ain't no way"/"Congratulations"/"You make me feel the way you do"
  7. re: Pat Boone "Chance at love". Also done by Universal Minds on Charles in the 7ts and by Pat Boyack/Sweet Pea Atkinson in 2004.
  8. Yes guys useful link. Though the price seems to vary with condition as you would expect. Popsike has prices from $74 to $394 for those sold in the last 2 years. As said, top LP; WILLIE TEE "I'M ONLY A MAN" (circa 1969 CAPITOL LP) Best tracks - "Bring on the heartaches"/"I'm only a man"/"Loneliness"/"Reach out for me"/"Take your time"
  9. I have a Loricraft record cleaner; https://www.loricraft.com/prc2.html It was, without a shadow of a doubt, the best investment I've ever made when it comes to records. I trialled various "professional" cleaning machines before I purchased this one, and it knocked spots off the others for performance. As for removing scratches, the answer is no. Nothing can do that. However, a thorough clean can very often cure record skips, because the stylus runs deeper and truer in the groove, and isn't riding on years of accumulated muck. I cleaned a friend's entire collection he sold before emigrating, and it raised many a records grading, and cured lots of skips. I cringe now when I read some of the crude cleaning methods suggested, it takes me a fraction of the time and with far better results. ...and no, I'm not on commission!!!
  10. I think you will find £50 is way off the mark. Going rate much more like £150.
  11. James recorded "Lost someone" on at least 4 different occassions. The version on the "Hell" LP was never released on a 45.
  12. Originally on an LP and a 12" only.
  13. Yes, originally released on the Bell LP. Released in 1969, produced by George Kerr.
  14. Sorry to let the side down, I hate it! Second rate pop.
  15. Having seen the CCTV footage, it's fair to say he wasn't in control of his faculties! It wasn't preplanned or malicious, so I think the sentence is more than stiff enough, I'm surprised he actually got sent down. Having said that, if I'd caught him I would have thrown him back on the flames!
  16. The cover with the woman is slightly rarer, but both releases come from 1977. Not a lot in it price wise. PS. Best track on the LP is "Impossible"
  17. Got quite a few off that list Sebastien. Here are a handful from my collection that would be termed rare; Tal Armstrong "Tallest man in love" (1980 Love) Conrad Benjamin "Saturn" (1982 Nebula) Brief Encounter "We want to play" (1981 Dream) Matt Covington "Matt Covington" (198? Zip) Cumulo Nimbus "Forty Seven times it's own weight" (197? Fable) Danser's Inferno "Creation one" (1975 Thimble) Tony Foxx "The beginning" (197? Blaster) Penny Goodwin "Portrait of a Gemini" (197? Sydney) Eramus Hall "Your love is my desire" (1980 Westbound) Heaven Sent & Ecstacy "The greatest love story" (1980 Jamieko) Ron Henderson & Choice Of Colour "Soul junction" (1976 Chelsea) Honey & The Bees "Love" (196? Ken-Tone) Rhthm Machine "Rhythm Machine" (1976 Lulu) Smoke "Risin'" (1976 J Bridge) Sons & Daughters Of Lite "Let the sun shine in" (1978 Sunlite) Spread Love "Spread Love" (1976 Sonstar) Stone Free "Stone Free feat. Cecil Lyde" (1980 Aladdin) Bobby Thurston "Sweetest Piece of the pie" (1978 Mainstream) Touch Of Class "Love Means everything" (197? Stack o Hits) Ultimates "The Ultimates" (1978 TSG) Charles Williams "Love is a very special thing" (1975 EMI Finland) There are tons of others, from early James Brown to Motown rarities, from funk to 8ts boogie. All LPs that fetch big money. The world of album collecting is no different than that of the single hunters.
  18. I think you need to go and have another listen. "Only time will tell" is one of the best ballads of the 9ts
  19. Hundreds of them. 2 in my current playbox are Ben E.King Jr. "You are the future" and Southern Comfort "It's in his letter"
  20. Hundreds of them. 2 in my current playbox are Ben E.King Jr. "You are the future" and Southern Comfort "It's in his letter"
  21. £60-£80
  22. Fabulous LP, probably his best. Average price for a copy is £20. Not too difficult to find but rarer than his other LPs. Happy hunting; "RONNIE McNEIR" (1975 PRODIGAL) (Prod. Ronnie McNeir) Best tracks - "Since I don't have your love"/"Now she's gone"/"I'm your lover"/"Baby come back home"/"Saggitarian affair"/"You are everything"/"Nothin but a heartache"/"Wendy is gone"
  23. It was a cheapie, but current going rate £80 or so.
