Was a great article on the chant label in a old copy of voices from the shadows. On the Bobby 45 label owner says Bobby came into town on a train walked into the studio cut both sides and left town. Wonder what happened to him, tis indeed a special record. Got the gamble copy here 🥰

After over 50 years of collecting soul records still my favourite 45 is Roosevelt mathews "got me digging you" on king. Got a issue and a demo. Got a lot of records but this just does it for me 👍👍

Stuff like this leaves such a bad taste. Buying and selling records is built on trust thankfully stuff like this is still quite rare. After 50 odd years of collecting soul records only been robbed once. People tend to know the good guys, I can still come home from a niter with records worth 1000's without payment because the sellers know its safe and payment is always sent. Hope this guy does the right thing and sorts it out.

Did sweet pearl really go for £2831 🤔 let our copy go for around the £250 mark not that long ago . Some of the prices john clocks up are truly jaw dropping 😳.

Received book and CD beginning of the week , have to say if you haven't ordered a copy it is essential reading. Transports you right back to a time I'm sure lots of us wish we could have been there. Big well done 👍
