    HI GUYS. IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ ALL AND SHARE . As many of you are aware I ran the Blesma Charity All Nighters with my dear friend, Character and Soul Legend SIMON CUERDEN For many years. Being from an “ARMED FORCES” background this event was dear to Simons heart and when I visited him in hospital the day before his passing in 2019 I made him a promise that the event would continue in his memory . A promise that I intend to keep. In January of 2020 The Northern Soul Scene, for the first time in many years or even for the first time ever, came together putting politics and rivalries to one side to Honour The Memory of A Soul Legend and to support BLESMA the limbless veterans charity. The Response was “ Bloody Amazing “. For that weekend, Both “All Nighters” And many “Soul Nights” either Cancelled or Moved away from their regular dates out of respect for Simons memory. Allowing over 1000 to attend THE SIMON CUERDEN MEMORIAL BLESMA CHARITY ALL NIGHTER 2020. Where together with Simons other love “THE ARMED FORCES SCOOTER CLUB (AFSC)” we raised in excess of £10000. Making it the “BIGGEST” charity All Nighter “EVER” and making me PROUD to be a “SOULIE”. Now! During the pandemic, for almost 2 years BLESMA, as with many other charities, have been unable to do fund raising events and their income has dropped to desperate levels. In response and in true SOULIE tradition. Together with AFSC, we have made arrangements to hold :- THE SIMON CUERDEN MEMORIAL BLESMA CHARITY ALL NIGHTER 2022 At SWINTON GRAND PALAIS, Station Rd, Swinton, Manchester on SATURDAY 15th January 2022 40 of the countries Biggest Northern Soul and Scooter DJs Playing top tunes In 3 separate rooms ( total capacity over 1100) Plus a “Live” appearance and the Soulful sounds of JOHNNY BOY PRYERS in the scooter ballroom 12 hours (7pm til 7am) Advance tickets only £ 10.00 plus £1.00 postage PayPal Friends and Family to BLESMA4SIMON@outlook.Com. ***. Following the successful charity events of 2020 and 2022, BLESMA Have asked for a photograph of the cheque handover and interview for their magazine and local press. On a personal note, I would find a photograph of me handing a cheque over to BLESMA both Unfair to everyone involved and Self Promoting, which I find distasteful and not in my nature. As a result, I Have arranged a Special Follow up SWINTON PALAIS ALL NIGHTER ON SAT 19th Feb from 8pm Til 6am Where ALL THE DJS , THE INVICTA CREW, AFSC, THE RAFFLE ORGANISERS, DONATION COLLECTORS, DOOR STAFF, TICKET SELLERS AND PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED THE EVENT, and made the event such a success. will have a chance to be on the photograph of a Cheque being handed over to BLESMA by SIMON CUERDENS WIFE, SISTER AND SON ZAK.     The Simon Cuerden Memorial Blesma All Nighter Saturday 18th January 2020 Possibly The Biggest Charity All Nighter Ever! As you may know I ran the BLESMA charity events with Simon Cuerden before his untimely passing. When I visited him in hospital the day before he passed . I made him a promise that I intend to keep... I promised him that The Annual BLESMA Charity event would continue in his name THE SIMON CUERDEN MEMORIAL BLESMA CHARITY ALL NIGHTER WILL TAKE PLACE ON 18th Jan 2020 The Response so far has been bloody amazing, if you notice for that weekend, Both All Nighters and Many Soul nights have either cancelled or moved their regular events away out of respect for Simons Memorial. This Means that for once in many years or even the first time ever, the soul scene has put politics and rivalries to one side to honour a Soul Legend and to support a great cause in BLESMA The Limbless Veterans Charity. SIMON'S other love was The Armed Forces Scooter Club ( AFSC). They also have decided to be involved with this event and have sold 250 tickets .. so in response we have booked the Main Ballroom at Swinton in addition to the 2 rooms where we normally have Swinton Nighters. This now takes the total capacity for the 3 rooms over 1100 giving it the chance to become The Biggest Northern Soul Charity All Nighter Ever! With 3 Rooms and over 40 of the countries top Djs wanting to play .. Already we have been pledged over £3000 worth of raffle prizes. From people and clubs such as Richard Searling, Kev Roberts, Rugby Benn Hall, Nuneaton Co Op, SCOOTOPIA, Dave Rimmer, Stockport Soul Clothing, Loake Shoes, Ady Croasdell and many private individuals, which in itself is amazing !     HI GUYS .. .HERE ARE THE DATES FOR SWINTON PALAIS .. Could members And promoters please take note. We have used and will continue to use the diary on Soul Source to reference Dates and events . 2018 March 10 May 12 Sept 1 Dec 1 Only. 4 Dates This Year All Saturdays . 2019 Feb 16 May 4 Sept 7 34th Anniversary and Ethan H Birthday Nov 2 Dec 14 Please note that for this year we have moved some Swinton dates out of courtesy to other venues and to avoid clashes . ... I wonder how many other promoters will reciprocate ??? Lol

    I was a cocky 16 yr old and remember vividly the night i first met Coddy Hughes,,,, At one end there was a small" Dance Floor ( about 8 foot in diameter ) that became the hang out area for the Bolton Lads one night i was coming back to the cloakroom,,,, after having a break. When i was stopped by a tall bloke with long hair and a long leather coat.. who said " Its Coddy Hughes Birthday and we are having a collection ... give me Quid " I Replied ,, Tell Coddy Hughes happy birthday and to f**k off ... A few minutes later A gruff voice with a beaming smile came to the cloakroom and said Ayup Youth whats yer name ? Brent ,,, Who wants to Know ??? The Names Coddy and i am told you wished me happy birthday but want me to Fook Off ? I said sorry pal some bloke was trying to roll me ... he laughed and said ,, your alright kid it isnt often i am told to f*ck off and the other Bloke is Paddy from Warrington ........ if anyone gives you grief come and see me or paddy .... From that night for years we became good friends and i heard many stories about being a stoke supporter Rest in Peace mate ,,,,,,,, Respect
